Official release: Briefing With Special Envoy Lea Gabrielle, Global Engagement Center On Disinformation and Propaganda Related to COVID-19
Excerpts: I should first just let you know that since January the GEC has been tracking narratives promoted by Russian, Chinese, and Iranian-sponsored sites or different platforms related to the coronavirus. During the crisis, we’ve seen Russian, Chinese, and Iranian state disinformation and propaganda ecosystems all converge around some disinformation themes intended to promote their own agendas. So on China, over the course of the crisis we’ve monitored a couple of narrative tracks. One is malign disinformation to falsely blame the U.S. as the origin of the coronavirus and the second has been China’s effort to turn the crisis into a news story highlighting supremacy of the Chinese Communist Party in handling the health crisis. ...in terms of Iran, several news outlets affiliated with Iran have published malicious, false stories alleging that the United States has weaponized the coronavirus, and senior Iranian officials have echoed these false allegations.

Washington, DC – the International Monetary Fund (IMF) welcomes today’s expedited approval by the United States Congress of the U.S. commitment to strengthen the IMF’s resources. “The U.S. decision to speed up approval of its substantial new contributions to the IMF is a powerful message to the international community and helps solidify the IMF’s US$1 trillion lending capacity. It comes at a crucial time as the whole world fights COVID-19 and demand for IMF resources is high” said IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva. She added, “Now that the U.S. has taken this important step, I am confident that other NAB contributors who have not yet done it will also expedite their commitments, so the IMF can continue to play its essential role as a lender of last resort at this time of crisis.” Read the IMF provision in the CARES Act here Read bio Kristalina Georgieva Attorney General William P. Full remarks Washington, DC ~ Thursday, March 26, 2020 Excerpt: The indictment of Nicolás Maduro and his co-defendants alleges a conspiracy involving an extremely violent terrorist organization known as the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia – or FARC – in an effort to flood the United States with cocaine. Now, FARC has been operating in Colombia. In 2017, the Colombians entered into a peace agreement with FARC, under which the overwhelming majority of FARC members laid down their arms and have been living within the political structure of Columbia. However, there is a dissident group of about 2,500 FARC members, and they have taken up on the border between Venezuela and Colombia. These FARC dissidents continue to be involved in drug trafficking and armed insurgency. They have obtained the support of the Maduro regime, which is allowing them to use Venezuela as a safe haven from which they can continue to conduct their cocaine trafficking and their armed insurgency. Gallup Poll: Majority Of Americans Disapprove Of News Media Handling Of Wuhan Coronavirus “Of nine leaders and institutions rated by Americans in a new poll on their response to the novel Wuhan Coronavirus, the media fared the worst, and it’s not even close,” Tristan Justice reports for The Federalist. “According to a new Gallup poll released Wednesday, the media was the only institution that scored a negative approval rating among the public with only 44 percent of Americans approving of the way the media has covered the virus.” The President, Vice President, and Centers for Disease Control, by comparison, each earned at least 60 percent approval from Americans. One-Worlders Exploit Pandemic for Global Government
By Cliff Kincaid - March 26, 2020 Since “climate change” has not ushered in world government, the global health crisis will have to do. Hence, Greta Thunberg has announced it’s “extremely likely” she has had coronavirus. She wasn’t tested but quickly recovered, she says. Now, we are told, the world has to come together to create a global government financed by global taxes to deal with future pandemics. “Gordon Brown calls for global government to tackle coronavirus” is the British Guardian headline over a story about the former Labor prime minister. Globalist organizations led by the World Federalists are leading the charge. This year, however, they think the timing is on their side. Their “UN2020” movement is taking advantage of this year being the 75th anniversary of the United Nations. They believe the coronavirus can be exploited to get the nations of the world united behind the push for “another, better path for humanity.” Their “plan of action,” as set forth in a draft of their “People’s Declaration,” is unfolding mostly behind-the-scenes as the 75th anniversary of the United Nations “provides a much-needed opportunity for system-wide stocktaking, strengthening and renewal.” The World Federalists are sometimes regarded as small and without much influence, but the fact is that prominent personalities such as Walter Cronkite, the former CBS Evening News anchorman, were world federalists. What’s more, President Clinton and then-First Lady Hillary Clinton endorsed the group’s activities during the time of the Clinton Administration. Former Clinton official Strobe Talbott wrote a book, The Great Experiment, describing his own background in the pro-world government World Federalist Movement and naming a network of friends and close associates that included billionaire leftist hedge fund operator George Soros. The purpose of Talbott’s book was to promote “global governance,” a euphemism for world government, and was defined in the subtitle as “The Quest for a Global Nation.” With a pandemic sweeping the globe, they think this is their time to strike. A draft of their declaration urges mechanisms such as an “Independent Commission on Global Governance” or a “United Nations Parliamentary Assembly” to be pushed by sympathetic governments. “Far quicker than most of us could have imagined, a world-encompassing health crisis...has shaken the global order to its core,” it says, adding that “...no longer can we behave as if our current institutions are sufficient to secure our future…To meet growing demands, a revitalized UN system would need a reliable source of funding.” Entitled “Humanity at a Crossroads: global governance at a time of global uncertainty,” the document calls for consideration of proposals such as an international carbon tax, a fossil fuel consumption tax, a global tax on select mineral resource extraction or usage, a minimum international corporate tax, a financial transaction tax, and “other fiscal policy options.” But here’s their bottom line, in their own words: “A global tax body to enforce these options should also be considered.” My 1997 book, Global Taxes for World Government, available for free at my America’s Survival website www.usasurvival.org, describes this movement. On Capitol Hill, Senator Edward J. Markey, member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has been joined by other liberals in calling on President Donald Trump to introduce a United Nations Security Council resolution that declares pandemics a clear threat to international peace and security. As part of this resolution, they want to “Mandate that, in the event of a declared health emergency, all countries ensure on-the-ground access by World Health Organization (WHO) officials, as well as require that all countries transparently disseminate timely public health information to the WHO and to their own people.” Of course, the U.N.s World Health Organization has been widely accused of a pro-China bias and stalling on the declaration of a public health emergency surrounding coronavirus. Equally significant, its director general, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, was a member of the "High-Level Task Force for Innovative Financing for Health Systems," a group which recommended global taxes for the U.N. They call them “solidarity levies” on airline tickets, tobacco and currency transactions. Tedros’s praise for President Trump, saying he is doing a “great job” in fighting the pandemic, is a recognition of reality. Tedros understands that Trump’s leadership has more than compensated for the lack of expertise from the WHO and the Centers for Disease Control. Tedros’ job is on the line, as an online petition with 563,013 signatures as of Thursday afternoon is urging his resignation. Whether that resignation comes or not, it will be important for President Trump to continue to resist calls for more globalism to fix the problems caused by globalism. *Cliff Kincaid is president of America’s Survival, Inc. www.usasurvival.org The campaign known as UN2020 is leading an effort to draft a UN75 People's Declaration and Program of Action. By Cliff Kincaid on October 22, 2014 By failing to impose a travel ban, the Obama administration allowed a carrier of Ebola from Liberia into the United States, where he infected two nurses, one of whom was allowed by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to travel on a plane. The “experts” say they still don’t know how or why two nurses treating the Ebola carrier contracted the disease. So-called “revised guidelines” for handling Ebola have now been issued by the CDC. The pressure is on for an Ebola vaccine. This is an old story that deserves investigation and comment. Was the “system” working back in the 1970s when hundreds of people got neurological disorders and some died from a swine flu vaccine before it was withdrawn? Mary Schiavo, a CNN aviation analyst and former inspector general for the Department of Transportation, is not a policy wonk, but she knows a lot about flying in and out of countries and the risks that go with air travel. She notes that just one Ebola case in the U.S. resulted in almost a thousand people being monitored for possible exposure to the virus. Speaking common sense, she added, “If we leave our borders [open] and don’t have any restrictions on non-essential travel from Ebola countries to the United States, obviously, we will be a country of choice for that, and if one person causes us to hunt for a thousand, just think of those numbers, as they multiply.” The Los Angeles Times reported that the CDC’s swine flu vaccination campaign resulted in more than 500 people developing Guillain-Barre syndrome after receiving the vaccine, while 25 people died. The CDC says Guillain-Barre syndrome is a rare disorder in which a person’s own immune system damages their nerve cells, causing muscle weakness and sometimes paralysis. The New York Times reported the number of dead at 30. ...in the swine flu controversy of 1976 the public health establishment manufactured an “epidemic” for the purpose of scaring people into getting vaccinated. Many people listened to their government and got sick or died. In that case, the CDC Director, Dr. David J. Sencer, was fired. The CDC museum is named after him. In the case of Ebola, CDC Director Tom Frieden keeps his job while Obama appoints a political fixer to manage the effort, in an attempt to save his political party from outrage over allowing Ebola to gain a foothold on American soil. The record shows that the first patient ever diagnosed with Ebola on American soil came during the Obama administration, as a result of a deliberate policy to help “fledgling democracies” in West Africa, according to CDC Director Frieden. That’s politically correct language for giving black Africa special access to the U.S., and putting their interests ahead of America’s. It didn’t have to happen if the administration had been making it a priority to protect the American people. In addition to the 1976 swine flu debacle, there were several vaccine scandals involving children during the Clinton administration. A hepatitis B vaccine was withdrawn because it contained a toxic substance, and a vaccine against diarrhea was withdrawn because it, too, was dangerous to children. In addition to the renewed push for an Ebola vaccine, a “crash” program to develop an HIV/AIDS vaccine has been underway for decades. An HIV/AIDS vaccine sounds like a good cause. Billions of dollars have been spent by Bill Gates—and American taxpayers—on the program. But what if they get this one wrong, too? And what if a mandatory AIDS vaccine causes HIV/AIDS in millions of healthy people, many of them children and the elderly? Did you know that the Office of the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (SIGTARP) still exists? Investopedia notes: The Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) was an initiative created and run by the U.S. Treasury to stabilize the country's financial system, restore economic growth, and mitigate foreclosures in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis. It was the $700-billion Wall Street bailout. The plan was to buy troubled assets. Then the money was used to buy shares in banks. Release from Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget
