Dear Friend of America's Survival,
President Trump has had many successes, but the increasing use of drugs by young people is not one of them. As media are reporting, the number of teens using marijuana by vaping has increased dramatically in the past two years... Here's the survey results: Past year vaping of marijuana, which has more than doubled in the past two years, was reported at 20.8% among 12th graders, with 10th graders not far behind at 19.4% and eighth graders at 7.0%. Past month marijuana vaping among 12th graders nearly doubled in a single year to 14% from 7.5%–the second largest one-year jump ever tracked for any substance in the history of the survey. Meanwhile, Trump ally (and GOP 2016 Convention speaker) Peter Thiel is making money from dope. His fund "Hits the Jackpot With $12 Billion Tilray Stake," a reference to a Canadian pot company, as noted by Bloomberg. Thiel is an outspoken homosexual activist. He said, "I Am Proud To Be Gay" at the convention. Back in 2016, the Sacramento Bee noted that, "Peter Thiel, the Silicon Valley billionaire who co-founded PayPal and has become an outspoken supporter of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, has cut a big check to the California campaign to legalize recreational pot. Thiel contributed $300,000 to Proposition 64" to legalize the drug. Trump has to pick between Thiel and United States Surgeon General Jerome Adams, who warns against legalization and says, " Recent increases in access to marijuana and in its potency, along with misperceptions of safety of marijuana endanger our most precious resource, our nation’s youth." He says the scientific and medical evidence indicates marijuana "impacts the formation of brain circuits important for decision making, mood and responding to stress." Marijuana is linked to violence, as in the case of the Islamist Boston bombers. For America's Survival, Cliff Kincaid

Dear Friend of America's Survival,
Rep. Paul Gosar's remarks on Rep. Adam Schiff's House Resolution 296 regarding Turkey, the Armenian genocide, and the Kurds. He says: Contrary to the Dear Colleague statement that accompanies this resolution, there is no credible evidence that Turkey has engaged in a genocide, or war crimes, or atrocities, against the Kurds in 2019. There was a completely fabricated story and video by ABC news of a “slaughter” of Kurds by Turkey, but ABC News was caught in its false flag propaganda efforts. Make no mistake—ABC News got caught, but there is likely other misinformation that the mainstream media is passing off that is just as false. There is plenty of evidence that the Turks have, for decades, suffered thousands of dead at the hands of Kurdish communist terrorists, under the umbrella of the Kurdish Workers Party, the PKK, and its new name, the SDF. As I have explained previously, the PKK/SDF is not our ally. They were fighting a common enemy (ISIS) with us, but they are not allied with our values, our system of capitalism, and our tolerance and our foreign policy objectives in the region. The resolution passed 405 - 11, with 3 Present. Regarding the Armenians, Gosar said: As a Christian I stand with the Armenians, but I will not vote for a lie, for something that is propaganda and inflammatory. Nor will I allow Democrats to broadly paint the Turkish government today as a genocidal regime based on events from a century ago. I will have no part of supporting false comparisons, war-mongering, and agit-prop from the Democrat congress. I voted present, instead of NO, because I want it to be clear I fully recognize the historic record of the brutality in the Ottoman Empire campaign against Armenian Christians. I reject any effort to conflate that tragedy, over a century old, with what is happening in Turkey today. For America's Survival, Cliff Kincaid Dear Friend of America's Survival,
Rep. Chip Roy on Congress approving nearly $1.4 trillion in funding with bipartisan support: "This bill borrows, and it borrows at a time when we can't afford to borrow another penny. Our nation is $23 trillion in debt, now racking up more than $100 million of debt per hour." He goes on to say, These bills are troubling for several reasons. I’ll name a few: - Authorizes DHS to nearly double the available H-2B visas for the remainder of FY 2020 - Includes a 7-year reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank - Increases the tobacco age to 21 - which is a violation of liberty and a play to Big Tobacco (not to mention the plays to insurance companies) - Provides barely a fraction of the necessary border security funding -- $1.375 billion for “fence and wall construction” while the White House requested $8.6 billion It is unfortunate that many of my Republican colleagues, who spent years campaigning on repealing Obamacare and "fiscal restraint," voted in favor of these bills which prop up Obamacare and spend money we don't have. Look at the roll call of left-wing organizations that are connected through something called The Type Media Center. One of the featured reports, now out-of-date, is from the British Guardian, "After a decade of Decay, Labour's Manifesto Offers Us Hope for the Future. The party has painted a picture of a greener, fairer society – and reminded us of the values that made Corbyn party leader," by Gary Younge in The Guardian. It's about the losing candidate, Jeremy Corbyn. Look at this list of its self-proclaimed "partners." It goes from "mainstream" to far-left, including AARP magazaine, the Washington Post, the Guardian, New York Times, Reuters, Bloomberg, the CFR's Foreign Affairs, and The Nation. One major funder, the Foundation to Promote Open Society, is Soros-backed. The complete list of media getting Soros money or influence through the Type Media Center is literally dozens. Much of it is anti-Trump, such as "How Trump Created Chaos on the Border." That's right -- Trump created the chaos, not the illegal aliens encouraged by the Catholic Church. The odds are that members of your family are exposed to the fake news transmitted by the Type Media Center and its media "partners." The National Enquirer is promoting the book, “Epstein: Dead Men Tell No TalesOpens in a new Window,” including "shocking details about [Jeffrey] Epstein’s connection to the global academic and scientific elite." The Enquirer can be right, such as when it revealed the affairs of John Edwards and Jesse Jackson. Epstein is alleged to have been an agent of the Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency. It looks at "Epstein’s connection to the global academic and scientific elite." Another book worth perusing is TrafficKing by Conchita Sarnoff. She thanks her publisher Victor Ostrovsky, a one-time alleged Israeli agent. Then pursue "Transhuman Fail: The Fishy Death Of Jeffrey Epstein," by yours truly. These are the true elites. The endgame, says Patrick Wood, is a scientific dictatorship, not socialism or communism. New Israeli elections, scheduled for March 2, 2020, will determine Israel's role in all of this. The globalists want the defeat of the Netanyahu government. For America's Survival, Cliff Kincaid Dear Friend of America's Survival,
Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz, a professor at Columbia University, and wealth and "inequality expert" Thomas Piketty were advisers to losing British Labor Party candidate Jeremy Corbyn. Before we get to Stiglitz, take a look at the British Labor Party's affiliations with "socialist societies." One link goes to the Fabian Society. It is affiliated with the EU think tank the Foundation for European Progressive Studies, one of whose American contributors is Joseph Stiglitz, an advocate of nationalizing U.S. banks and a member of the Socialist International Commission on Global Financial Issues. Stiglitz, a former Clinton official and financial contributor to the Democratic Party and its candidates, wrote the book, Making Globalization Work, in which he argues for a variety of global tax schemes that would cost American taxpayers billions of dollars. He calls it "progressive capitalism." Back in 2016, Corbyn reported: I met with Joseph Stiglitz earlier today with Labour's Shadow Chancellor, John McDonnell who published this a short time ago: "Had a great meeting this morning discussing Labour's new economics and tackling inequality with Nobel Prize winning economist Joseph Stiglitz and Jeremy Corbyn. I am very grateful to have the advice and input of Professor Stiglitz when it comes to formulating Labour’s plan to create an economy that works for all." After the historic loss, Corbyn is stepping down as head of the Labor Party. For America's Survival, Ciff Kincaid Dear Friend of America's Survival,
An AP story about the British election results quoted Mathew Goodwin, a professor of politics at the University of Kent, as sayng Boris Johnson matched a bit of leaning to the left on the economy with a similar lean to the right on Brexit, migration and crime. Johnson “appears to have grasped one of the new unwritten laws in politics: It is easier for the right to move left on economics than it is for the left to move right on identity and culture,″ he wrote on his blog. Which means that the "conservatives" move left to pick up votes. Johnson, for example, wanted to pump more money into the failing national health care system. A true conservative would want to reform and eventually abolish it. You can see that Goodwin blog post here. I think he's right. Unfortunately, that helps explain Trump's move to the left on matters like gay rights and paid family and medical leave. Overall, he tends to capitulate to the left on spending. Trump's conservative base has to put pressure on him from the right. Otherwise, he will take conservatives for granted. For America's Survival, Cliff Kincaid Dear Friend of America's Survival,
Trump's deal with the Dems incudes paid parental leave for 2.1 million federal workers. The cost is estimated to be about $3.3 billion over five to 10 years. It was pushed by Democrats and Ivanka Trump. Now the push is on for a national paid family and medical leave program with a cost that can easily run into hundreds of billions of dollars. President Trump is already backing the proposal. “I am also proud to be the first president to include in my budget a plan for nationwide paid family leave, so that every new parent has the chance to bond with their newborn child,” Trump said in his State of the Union address in 2019. A CNBC story notes that research from the Heritage Foundation indicates nationwide paid family leave could cost $231 billion over 10 years. The Heritage study adds: "Those estimates understate the true costs of a federal paid leave program because they do not take into account the behavioral responses of workers and employers. Workers would almost certainly take more paid family leave than before, because it would have no direct monetary cost to them, and employers and states that provide paid family leave would likely drop their existing programs and simply let their workers use the federal program instead." The British Conservatives won a commanding majority and this means the demise of the Soviet-style European Union. Britain will finally leave. But these "conservatives" pledged to "strengthen" the country's failing socialist national health care system by "giving the NHS [National Health Service] its biggest cash boost in history..." Other promises:
At the same time, they say "We will not raise the rate of income tax, VAT or National Insurance." The latter is the welfare state subsidy. For America's Survival, Cliff Kincaid |
