The Culture of Death is Winning
By Cliff Kincaid Commentators have noted that after Trump was almost killed in Butler, Pennsylvania, there was no “bump” in the polls in his favor. That means there was no sympathy for a prominent political figure almost killed on national television. This is because half the country wants him dead or in prison. They still do. In practical terms, the party of death means death for the unborn and death or prison for those who oppose the abortion industry. If you have watched any television commercials for various Democratic Party politicians, you have noticed they are almost all running on abortion – the ability of a woman to procure a “doctor” to kill her baby in the womb. This is their biggest issue. In this context, since killing the innocent unborn is a positive value for these people, anyone who gets in the way of this wholesale killing deserves no sympathy whatsoever. At one time, Trump was considered a staunch opponent of killing the unborn. But no more. Anybody paying attention to his campaign knows that he is backing away from this pro-life position because Trump advisers perceive it is a political loser. Trump himself has justified his flip-flop, saying Republicans must be able to win elections, and that means adopting some version of the Democratic Party position of abortion on demand. Yet, this hasn’t paid any political dividends, and Trump is sinking fast in the polls, barely ahead in Red states like Texas and Florida. Trump’s liberal position on abortion and even IVF, a technology designed in part to produce kids for homosexual couples, isn’t working. He has failed to attract liberal voters with his new liberal positions, such as endorsing abortion drugs and taxpayer subsidies for IVF. In fact, it may be driving Christians and pro-life voters away from his campaign. He could lose to Harris in a landslide if Christians decide not to vote on the presidential level. I just watched Paula White, one of Trump’s religious advisers, on the Real America’s Voice program with Dr. Tim Clinton, and she completely avoided the subject, instead talking about the border, taxes, and the radicalism of Harris/Walz. Sounding confident, she says that with Catholics, evangelical religious believers constitute 38 per cent of the voting population and she recommended the National Faith Advisory Board to understand how to register people who “share your values” in support of Trump. But Trump’s sharp move to the left has caused many of these potential voters to give up hope and give up on politics. They are alienated. They are recognizing that the political system produces corruption on both sides, and that pro-life values are being abandoned because they are not politically popular. It didn’t have to be this way. “Until Americans See Abortion, Americans Will Not Reject Abortion,” states Frank Pavone, director of Priests for Life. The “Face the Truth Tour” on the part of the Republican Party would have been controversial, as it features images of aborted children. These tours are designed to educate America about the one billion babies aborted since Russia became the first nation in the world to legalize the procedure. On top of this problem for Trump, black and brown voters are moving back into the column of the Democratic Party. It appears that the party’s decision to dump Biden, in favor of a “New Way Forward” with Harris, is working. She has consolidated the base of her party, while Trump’s hard left turn, which includes advocating legalization of dope, is fracturing his base. He is now the oldest candidate in the race, in sharp contrast to the younger and vibrant Harris. His debate with Harris on Tuesday night will only accentuate this problem, no matter what they say or what flip-flops Trump is able to document on her part. In response, she may point out his own flip-flops on issues like abortion. The problem for Republicans is that they are stuck with Trump, who is barely holding his own in the polls and seems to be running out of gas on the campaign trail, repeating his stale old speeches on taxes and the border. On the Tim Clinton show, Clinton asked former Rep. Michele Bachman about the extreme and “insane” views of Democrats on abortion, without trying to correct and critique the “new” Trump position. Harris, a woman who has never given birth, is on the offensive against Trump. The “Culture of Death” is winning, and Trump has raised the white flag of surrender. At this late date, having endorsed liberal abortion laws, Trump is unable to turn the tide back in his favor. His dispirited supporters can only repeat the bad things about the Harris/Walz ticket. That narrative is getting old. To understand how pro-abortion the Democrats are, they are running commercials in Maryland against Republican Senate candidate Larry Hogan, stating that he is not pro-abortion enough. He decided to endorse a “woman’s right to choose” in his ads before Trump decided to backpedal on the right to life. Many pro-life Republicans in the Blue state will not vote for Hogan on this basis alone, and probably will ignore the presidential race since Harris is a runaway favorite to win in Maryland. With Harris poised to win the election in November, most of the country will go Blue, as the abortion industry consolidates its hold on the Democratic Party and makes dramatic inroads into the Republican Party. After this consolidation of power, the “Culture of Death” will move forward dramatically on transgenderism, cutting off kids’ private parts to make them into members of the opposite sex. It will become America’s national policy and the victims, like those in abortion, will be carefully concealed.
