Participants:

Larry Grathwohl: Larry joined the Army in 1964, wanting to go to jump school and be assigned to the 101st Airborne Division.  He got his wish and was assigned to the 2/502 Infantry and was sent to Vietnam in July of 1965.  After completing his tour he was assigned to Ft. Knox, Kentucky, and became a Drill Instructor.  Upon receiving an Honorable discharge, and while attending the University of Cincinnati, he was recruited by the Cincinnati Police to infiltrate the Weathermen.  He would later be working for the FBI and become the only person to go underground with what became known as the Weather Underground.  After his cover was blown, he testified before several Federal Grand Juries, the U.S. Senate and at the Mark Felt/Ed Miller FBI trail.  He wrote the 1976 book, Bringing Down America (with Frank Reagan), detailing his experiences.

Larry finished college in 1980 and worked as a manager for several different companies through the ensuing years.  As Bill Ayers attempted to rewrite his history and that of the Weather Underground, he felt compelled to counter his lies with the truth. “The time is long overdue for Bernardine Dohrn, Bill Ayers’ wife, to answer for her participation in the bombing of the Park Police Station, which resulted in the death of Sgt. McDonnell,” says Grathwohl.

Jim Pera:  Jim grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. After graduating from Balboa High School, in San Francisco, California, he entered the U.S. Army, where he served three years, first as a Paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division, and then as an infantry rifleman in the 1st Cavalry Division, Airmobile, in Vietnam. Upon discharge from the military he went to work at San Francisco Bay Naval Shipyard, at Hunters Point, where he worked as a Rigger Helper.  In April of 1968, he entered the San Francisco Police Department, where he served 30 years, ten as a patrolman and twenty as a Sergeant, all of it on the street, retiring in July of 1998. He is married and has two daughters, a son and seven grandchildren.
