![]() An Important and Urgent Message From
Cliff Kincaid, President, America's Survival, Inc.
"Our national survival is at stake. Our sovereignty is at risk and in danger. We need your immediate help to avert a catastrophe. We need at least 34 Senators to block ratification of the pro-world government and pro-global taxes Law of the Sea Treaty. The treaty could be brought to the Senate floor at any time. Informed sources tell me that, at this moment, we have less than 10 Senators opposed to it. Time is of the essence. We must act now. " - Cliff Kincaid, President, America's Survival, Inc.
Also tell them: There are now 52 international courts and tribunals. Why do we want or need another one?
Remember that President Reagan Opposed the Law of the Sea Treaty. Reagan, who joined the World Federalists as a young man because he wanted to "save the world," left the organization when he realized it had an anti-American and pro-world government agenda. The evidence available on the America's Survival, Inc. web site (www.USAsurvival.org) in the "Secret Agenda" report shows that the World Federalists wrote UNCLOS as a vehicle through which the U.N. could inhibit the exercise of U.S. military power and put in place the building blocks of a world government. Capitol Hill staffers might tell you that the U.S. Navy supports UNCLOS. That's true, but Navy officials have no understanding of Orwellian U.N.-speak or how U.N. bureaucracies work over time to thwart U.S. interests. They have no understanding of how a group of World Federalists, pacifists and anti-American activists actually wrote the main provisions of the document. Here's the military reality that Navy officials don't want to face up to:
Republican Senate staffers might tell you that the treaty was "fixed." Was it? It still calls the oceans "the common heritage of mankind," giving control over them to the U.N., and reserves them exclusively for "peaceful purposes," as defined by the U.N. What's more, UNCLOS authorizes global taxes on U.S. companies and gives international lawyers and foreign governments another opportunity to sue the U.S. before another international tribunal. It is a giant step toward world government.
Here are the critical facts: President Bush's U.N. Law of the Sea Treaty, the most comprehensive and far-reaching treaty ever devised, must be stopped. We need at least 34 Senators to block its ratification. We also need House members to act. The treaty creates a global tax on the use of ocean resources necessary for the American way of life. The U.S. Constitution (Section 7) flatly says, "All bills for raising revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives…" That means it's unconstitutional for the Senate to pass this measure without the House of Representatives first acting on it. Call your House member now. Demand that he/she oppose the tax-raising provision of the U.N. Convention on the Law of the Sea. If they need any more information, direct them to www.usasurvival.org where you can find our latest reports on the Law of the Sea Treaty. Contact Cliff Kincaid directly at Kincaid@comcast.net If we don't defeat this treaty, the battle against the New World Order will be lost. UNCLOS mandates a global tax in order to exploit ocean resources, an International Seabed Authority to collect the revenue, and an international tribunal to govern ocean affairs. One of the main authors of the pact, Elizabeth Mann Borgese, was a radical socialist who admired Karl Marx. The treaty is so extreme that former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Jeane Kirkpatrick said that it was viewed as the cornerstone of a Marxist-oriented New International Economic Order. That's why President Ronald Reagan opposed it. At a time when conservatives are raising concerns about activist judges on the national level who cite international law and foreign rulings in their opinions, UNCLOS establishes a new international legal regime, including a new international court, to govern activities on, over, and under the world's oceans, seven-tenths of the world's surface. The provisions of the treaty would also permit international rules and regulations governing economic and industrial activities on the remaining land area of the world in order to combat global warming and other perceived pollution dangers. Our new report, "Bush-backed Law of the Sea Treaty a Trojan Horse for International Slip and Fall Lawyers," describes how radical activists intend to use UNCLOS to sue the United States on the grounds that the U.S. emits too many greenhouse gas emissions which they say have polluted the oceans of the world. As such, the treaty will open the U.S. up to international lawsuits and climate change litigation, providing a back door for implementation of the unratified and costly global warming treaty. A Senate decision to ratify the treaty, therefore, is an open invitation to subject the U.S. to global litigation before domestic and international courts. The effect would be to raise energy prices on average Americans, undermine economic growth, restrict U.S. military activities around the world, and take decision-making authority away from our elected Representatives and Senators in the Congress and put it in the hands of global authorities. " Remember: the pro-Marxist Elisabeth Mann Borgese, a world government activist, was described as the "Mother of the Oceans" or "First Lady of the Oceans" for her role in crafting and promoting UNCLOS. She not only stated her admiration for Karl Marx, the father of communism, but was an ardent advocate of the New International Economic Order. The Law of the Sea Treaty brings the U.S. into the New World Order. Ratification is the official end of American sovereignty. Don't let them turn this:
