Dear Mr. Isikoff:

Blood is on the hands of Newsweek magazine for your unsubstantiated "Koran in the toilet" story that sparked anti-American global riots and the deaths of 17 people. Newsweek did enormous damage to the cause of democracy in the Middle East.

We are currently conducting a petition campaign in support of an effort by Afghanistan to have you extradited to face justice in this case.

Our petitions, which we are delivering to the Afghan embassy in Washington, D.C., say:

Dear President Karzai and the Afghan People,

Thank you for working with our President, George W. Bush, to fight Al Qaeda terrorists.

Michael Isikoff of Newsweek wrote a story giving the terrorists a public relations bonanza, setting off anti-American riots throughout the Arab world, and causing the deaths of 17 people in Afghanistan.

I, the undersigned American citizen, wholeheartedly support any and all of your efforts to extradite Michael Isikoff to Afghanistan to face justice.
