We must do two important things:

• Keep John Bolton at the U.N., and
• Stop the U.N. Drive for Global Taxes

Liberal "globalists" have just scored a huge election victory. They are taking control of Congress. The group Citizens for Global Solutions, which openly supports world government and global taxes, boasts that 89.2 percent of the 176 candidates it endorsed were elected. It says that "The result of the election should see a huge step forward toward building a globalist majority in Congress…"

The new House speaker, San Francisco liberal Nancy Pelosi, got an "A" from this world government group. The new Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, got an "A+."

This could not come at a worst time. Global taxes are now being imposed on several nations, and America is the next target.

We even documented how the U.N. push for global taxes is linked to Bill and Hillary Clinton, through the Clinton Foundation and Ira Magaziner, and how they are pushing global taxes under the cover of assuring "global health." Our most recent report documented how Clinton economist Joseph Stiglitz is promoting global taxes and has created a non-governmental organization, supported by George Soros and others, to carry his campaign forward. 

As you can imagine, with liberals in power in Congress now, it's going to be monumentally harder to prevent U.N. global taxes in 2007! We believe they will try to sneak such a scheme through Congress by saying that the proceeds will go to fight deadly diseases like AIDS or combat global warming.

During the year we worked with dozens of members of Congress to block U.N. global taxes. We actively promoted "No Global Taxes" legislation introduced by Senator James Inhofe. His measure, which could still pass before the new Congress takes power, would withhold U.S. funds to the U.N. if the world organization even promotes global taxes.

Equally significant, the first thing to come out of Harry Reid's lips -- the day after the election -- was that Democrats will NOT allow a confirmation vote for U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton!

As you know, John Bolton may be the best U.N. Ambassador in American history.  He almost single-handedly blocked the push for U.N. Global Taxes.

That's why the tax-raising liberals HATE him and want him gone!

Let me tell you what we have been doing behind-the-scenes.

On November 2, I sent a letter to Joshua Bolten, White House Chief of Staff, asking that the President renew his campaign to get Ambassador Bolton a permanent appointment to the U.N. (His temporary appointment expires at the end of this year). On November 8, I personally told a top White House aide that backers of John Bolton expected the Administration to do everything in its power to keep Bolton at the U.N.

On November 9, we got a victory -- the White House sent John Bolton’s nomination to the Senate for a vote.

But it’s not clear that Bolton will get that vote this year or next. Senator Joseph Biden, the incoming chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, says Bolton’s nomination is "going nowhere." 

So it appears that the White House may have to resort to bypassing the Senate and giving John Bolton another temporary appointment.

But whether it’s through a Senate confirmation vote or another temporary appointment, John Bolton has to be our Ambassador to the U.N. There is nobody better for this post.

Bolton must be in place so he can blow the whistle on and oppose any global taxation effort. 

In the days ahead we must target the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, as well as the White House, with a "Keep John Bolton at the U.N." campaign.
