The official release, President’s FY21 Budget Proposal for the Ending the HIV Epidemic Initiative, says:
On February 10, 2020, the White House released President Donald Trump’s Fiscal Year 2021 Federal Budget proposal. “The 2021 Budget includes $716 million for the second year of the multiyear initiative to eliminate HIV in America, a $450 million increase compared to the 2020 enacted level.” The Washington (Gay) Blade reports: In a joint statement, the Partnership to End HIV, STD & Hepatitis — which comprises the AIDS United, the National Alliance of State & Territorial AIDS Directors, the National Coalition of STD Directors, the National Minority AIDS Coalition and the AIDS Institute -- hailed the request for $716 million as “an important scale up of current funding.”
