Has Trump Put Ron DeSantis in Mortal Danger?
By J.C. Hawkins Reposted from The Forgotten Street May 26, 2023 The relentless and vicious bashing of Ron DeSantis by Donald Trump that’s been ongoing for months well before DeSantis formally announced his presidential candidacy has a very disturbing downside. I know it’s Trump’s style to try to intimidate his rivals, but by doing so he’s whipped up a number of his supporters into an unhinged frenzy. He’s also done it in a somewhat juvenile way. This unending litany of vitriol has led some of the MAGA crowd to brand DeSantis as a globalist tool of George Soros, a Bush RINO, a dupe of the Murdoch family, and a fake conservative. It’s all too absurd to dignify. In general, the MAGA movement is made up of predominantly patriotic, good-hearted Americans who only want what’s best for America. But unhappily, there are some folks on the fringes of the MAGA movement who could be motivated to lash out at DeSantis for challenging Trump. Frankly what I’m seeing from the DeSantis haters and Trump Kool Aid drinkers on social media is actually frightening. I think there’s a distinct possibility that an unhinged individual could attempt to do bodily harm to or even kill Ron DeSantis in order to eliminate the possibility of Trump not getting the GOP nomination. What’s even more dangerous is The Deep State could take advantage of the situation to eliminate DeSantis and blame it on a Trump supporter. What better way to get rid of the two biggest threats to the Deep State agenda? Making Trump look responsible for something happening to DeSantis would virtually eliminate the possibility of him regaining the White House. The public outrage would scare off the moderate Republicans and independents needed for a Trump win. He would be thoroughly discredited as a viable candidate. The Elite Traitor Media (ETM) is playing a role in all this as well. It feeds on highlighting the Trump attacks and doing all it can to create a schism in the Republican Party. They recognize Joe Biden’s vulnerability to both Trump and DeSantis. Current polling is virtually worthless this far in advance of the primaries. But it’s clear the weakened economy and Biden’s obvious physical and mental frailty are working against him. I pray I’m totally wrong about this and maybe overreacting. Nonetheless, now would be the optimal time for Trump to dial it back and let up on the DeSantis bashing. He should just stick to the issues and his many accomplishments without building more dangerous hatred and vitriol against his opponent. Failure to do so is courting disaster. As this juncture, Trump is being grossly irresponsible and unworthy of serious consideration for the GOP nomination. His actions are going well beyond the bounds of political jockeying. We all know Trump got screwed in the 2020 election. But he needs to lose his sense of entitlement and victimhood. He must work to earn the nomination like he did in 2016. It’s unbecoming of him to expect a coronation. His actions are leading some of his oldest supporters here in northeast Florida to question his state of mind. If the situation remains as is, I put the odds of an assassination attempt against the Florida governor at 50-50. My years of researching the history of the Deep State tell me the possibility is very real. Should it happen, all the blood will be on Trump’s hands.
