Journalism’s Going Out of Business Sale
By Cliff Kincaid The NFL can try to force an anti-American music show down the throats of the viewers during Super Bowl Sunday, but people can reject far-left crapola through freedom of choice. Thank you to TPUSA for sponsoring an alternative to the Puerto Rican superstar waving his foreign flag and singing in a foreign language. The culture is still very sick, as reflected in the Epstein files, and it’s very evident in sports as well as the “business” of journalism in which publishers have been manipulated by left-wing news personnel to remain hands-off and let the PC crew run wild. Washington Post publisher Jeff Bezos is reacting accordingly. He doesn’t like to waste money, a reason for his success through Amazon. It’s amazing when you think about it: former Washington Post journalist Howard Kurtz left the paper for Fox News, and now writes a column for Fox about how great the Post has been. Kurtz is a has-been journalist who was never a conservative and deserted the sinking ship long before new Post owner Jeff Bezos pulled the plug on so many of its far-left propagandists. Perhaps it’s time for Kurtz to leave Fox News for his loyalty is to the old regime of bankrupt journalism. Good luck. “Even as we produce much excellent work, we too often write from one perspective, for one slice of the audience," said Washington Post executive editor Matt Murray, as he announced the layoffs of 300 Post employees. Yes, he’s right. One slice of the audience is the TDS readers anxious for their poison Kool Aid each day. On the presidential plane, a Washington Post reporter pushed a line toward Trump about his supporters and immigration. She said, “The MAGA base says they aren’t satisfied with the administration focusing on just deporting violent criminals…” Trump fired back, asking, “Who are you with?” The reporter answered: Washington Post. Then came the response: “The Washington Post. You’re having a hard time getting readers. The Washington Post is doing very poorly!” He added, “Go ahead. You have a very bad attitude. Go ahead.” The answer about immigration enforcement included, “My base is people who love our country… they couldn’t be more thrilled. We have crime down to the lowest levels it has been in 125 years.” The Post, and apparently Kurtz, are not interested in seeing that particular slice of America satisfied. He talks of the paper’s Watergate coverage, when the paper brought down a good Republican President who did the same things other Democrats had done. The Post tried to do so again, against Trump, through the prize-winning Russia-gate hoax stories. Post Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein’s parents were communists who said Joe McCarthy was right and the Watergate coverage was designed to bring down the one former legislator, Nixon, who played a pivotal role in exposing State Department Soviet spy Alger Hiss. Trump has many of the same enemies. Since the Epstein files definitively expose the truth about real and continuing “conspiracy theories,” let’s understand what is really behind modern-day “journalism.” Most reporters are left-wing hacks who have damaged America, causing us to lose foreign wars, while exploiting murder, mayhem, and death for circulation and ratings. Consider Walter Cronkite of CBS, who came out as a one-worlder after he worked to save South Vietnam for the communists. Or Karen DeYoung of the Post, who told students that left-wing guerrillas in Latin America were the “good guys.” Or Laurence Stern of the Post, who was eulogized by a communist Cuban official at his memorial service in D.C. Before Bezos, the Post covered-up Barack Hussein Obama’s communist connections and lack of loyalty to the United States. His Marxist-Muslin outlook was carefully concealed, and they smeared me when I worked with Trevor Loudon to expose it. Once Bezos took charge, he dropped the far-left ideology, an affront to those manipulating his backing for this money-losing monstrosity of a paper. Good for him. He understands the need for a free-market economy and wants it reflected in the paper he owns. Let’s hope his turnaround is not too late. Get with the program, Howard Kurtz, or get lost. Maybe it’s time for you to be put out to pasture. You don’t belong at Fox or any other “respectable” media outlet. Register yourself at the local old folks’ home for disgraced former journalists. Perhaps you can find a space next to Stephen K. Bannon.
