Dear Friend of America's Survival,
CNN was right this time: When Iran's Foreign Minister, Javad Zarif, landed at the G7 meeting in Biarritz [France], it appeared France's Emmanuel Macron, this year's G7 host, had pulled off an end run around his most powerful guest, US President Donald Trump. Another article, "France Upstages Trump at G7 by Inviting Iran to Salvage Nuclear Deal," also captured the scene. The G7 statement declares, "We fully share two objectives: to ensure that Iran never acquires nuclear weapons and to foster peace and stability in the region." So how is this supposed to be done? Trump indicated he might be open to meeting with the Iranians, in a "deal" that could invite the Russians to store and maintain Iranian uranium stockpiles. Big mistake. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyau has the real answer -- military force. His forces just struck Iranian assets in Syria. "In a major operational effort, we have thwarted an attack against Israel by the Iranian Quds Force & Shi'ite militias," he said on August 24. "I reiterate: Iran has no immunity anywhere. Our forces operate in every sector against the Iranian aggression. 'If someone rises up to kill you, kill him first.'" Presidential adviser Jared Kushner has a Middle East peace plan that may -- or may not -- include a potential independent Palestinian state. He has spent three years working on it. This is nothing new. Israeli political commentator and journalist Sha’i ben-Tekoa argues that the term “Palestinians” is itself a commonly used deception. The “Palestinians,” he argues, don’t really exist. They are an “invented” people whose purpose is to serve as the means by which the destruction of Israel and the Jews will ultimately be achieved. Ben-Tekoa believes that Netanyahu’s response should be, “There are no Palestinians,” and “they have no right to a state.” Nevertheless, he thinks Netanyahu “knows the threat,” not only from the “Palestinians” but Iran, and will do what is necessary to assure Israel’s survival. Trump’s decision to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem has symbolic value. But it does nothing to protect Israel from an attack by its regional enemies bearing Russian arms.
