![]() The Fall of the Roman Catholic Church By Cliff Kincaid The fall of the Roman Empire has been blamed on rampant immorality and excessive bureaucratization, among other factors. The same factors can be seen in the Roman Catholic Church. People can now tour the Vatican, to marvel at its beauty, but one day it will be a structure like the ruins of the Colosseum in the center of the city of Rome, Italy, unless the church rediscovers its spiritual core and stops dispensing “progressive” propaganda in place of the Gospel. One prime example is Francis harping about the “good Samaritan,” in taking care of illegal aliens, while the Vatican Walls prohibit illegal entry to the Vatican itself. I predict that one day the Vatican itself will be a collection of relics, rather than the backdrop for a “solemn procession” picking another pope. That is because most Catholics themselves understand that the passing of the “People’s Pope” that is on display on television has nothing to do with the spiritual and political problems facing the world. Francis was captured by the “spirit” of the world and made things worse, not better. He was labeled a communist by the current president of Argentina, Javier Milei. One of Francis’s latest accomplishments was appointing a liberal open borders bishop named McElroy to run the church in D.C., a point man in the anti-Trump resistance. Like most Catholic bureaucrats, he has a lot of baggage relating to cover-ups of child sex abuse scandals. On another edition of my Rumble show, former Navy Captain/Chaplain Gene Gomulka discussed the need for Trump's Attorney General Pam Bondi to launch a Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act investigation of conspiratorial criminal activity and organized sexual abuse crimes, including Satanism, predominantly of a homosexual nature, within the Catholic Church and covered-up by the Vatican and the U.S. hierarchy. Francis was seen by the progressives as one of them, but he privately used the word “faggot” to refer to homosexuals, demonstrating his personal disgust for their “lifestyle.” Nevertheless, he will still be seen as enlightened because he issued proclamations from behind the Vatican Walls calling for America and the rest of the world to welcome barbarians that rape and pillage. He was a total Christian hypocrite, a big factor in the decline of Christianity in the modern world. I stood next to those walls during a trip to Rome. Even Spiderman could not scale them. In America, we witness the “fruits” of the Francis-style approach, with the daily arrests of rapists and murderers from other countries. The latest, announced by the ICE office in Baltimore, involves an illegal 23-year-old Guatemalan national for murdering his girlfriend. I was just in Baltimore and witnessed people lying on the streets and sleeping in cardboard boxes as police cars and ambulances whizzed by to a nearby hospital. Baltimore, once considered the center of industry for the city and state, will soon host a “cannabis convention” of potheads. The dope industry is what has replaced iron and steel production in many states. The “Maryland Man” has been fawned over by Democrats who think he belongs back in the United States, where he was determined to be a gang member and wife beater and transferred to El Salvador, where he was born. Maryland is also the home of a case that unfolded in the Supreme Court on Tuesday, pitting a local school board that wanted to force school kids to consume LGBTQ propaganda against their parents’ wishes. The Court may rule for the objecting parents in that case but the real problem is a school board in Montgomery County that thinks anal sex is appropriate to teach to children. As you may have guessed, Maryland is a heavily Democrat state. Maryland’s governor Wes Moore once served on the board of a marijuana business and is bankrupting the state. The “next Obama,” as he is called, inherited a $5.5 billion surplus but spent it all and raised taxes and fees to try to close a $3 billion deficit. For those who like to bash California as a weird and strange land, I suggest instead you focus on Maryland, the California of the East. Maryland is important because it is home to many of America’s top intelligence agencies as well as Fort Detrick, a source of biological weapons research that is leaking toxic chemicals into the nearby neighborhoods. In another ominous development, the local medical group, Frederick Health, was recently hacked by the Red Chinese, resulting in the theft of medical records for many in the D.C. area. The blackmail material has national security implications. The failed state of Maryland is represented by Senator Chris Van Hollen, who took the lead on rescuing the illegal alien from El Salvador, where he was deported. He didn’t have much interest in the those killed in his state by the illegals, such as Rachel Morin. As noted by Brad Botwin of Help Save Maryland in a recent Rumble broadcast interview, Van Hollen “never said a peep when Biden/Harris opened the floodgates to illegal aliens. Never a peep about our overcrowded and academically declining schools, bankrupt hospitals and dwindling social services for citizens caused by this illegal alien invasion.” The good news about Maryland is that people in more conservative areas of the state have elected tough sheriffs like Chuck Jenkins of Frederick County, who has publicly warned of “terror cells” and foreign criminal gangs on American soil and cooperates with ICE to arrest and remove them. This is the time, as we have argued in our Rumble TV broadcast, for President Trump to stop complaining about the courts interfering with his deportations and do something about it. He must reject the notion that the courts have the ability or authority to protect illegal alien invaders. If he takes such action, he will find that most Catholics oppose the open borders and suicidal approach of the Democrats and Pope Francis.
