The Fall of Ukraine and the Coming Refugee Disaster By Cliff Kincaid If you hate open borders, wait until Ukraine falls, NATO-member Poland gets invaded by Russia, and millions of Europeans flood into the United States. This shocking plan has been adopted by the anti-Ukraine faction of the House Republicans, whether they want to admit it or not. If that happens, and that is the plan articulated by Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene, look for Biden to blame the GOP for a major foreign policy disaster moving into the 2024 campaign season. Greene has just posed for pictures with the Marxist women of Code Pink to oppose aid to Ukraine. The good news is that the House Republicans are in control of the power of the purse. The bad news is that they can use it to create another disaster involving open borders, this time involving Europeans escaping a wider war in Europe. The issue is the use of executive and legislative power. Once again, China Joe is using executive orders to give away taxpayer dollars to deadbeat students. The Supreme Court has ruled that is illegal. But he is doing it again anyway. However, the House of Representatives has the constitutional power to appropriate money, and it is the use of this power to fund or defund the federal government that was at the heart of the decision to evict House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. He did not want to use the power the Constitution gave the House. Hopefully, this outcome will awaken many conservatives to the moral bankruptcy and ignorance of the Fox News channel, whose commentators condemned the eight Republicans who voted for fiscal sanity. I heard a Fox News radio report that put it this way: Eight Republicans voted against McCarthy for working with Democrats but they worked with Democrats to get him out of that office. That was the Fox way of depicting the fiscally responsible Republicans of being hypocrites. The eight Republicans voted against their own “leader” and the Democrats followed along. That is far different than McCarthy counting on Democrat votes to pass a budget resolution, after failing to do his job. On her show, Fox host Harris Faulkner interviewed members of the eight, but quoted two Rupert Murdoch properties, the Wall Street Journal and New York Post, to criticize the eight. The headline on Fox said, “Eight Republicans Side With Democrats To Upend House.” The Republicans had every right to force McCarthy to vacate the Speaker’s chair. McCarthy agreed to that provision when he ascended to the chair. Faulkner and her ilk should read the Constitution and understand the power of the purse. Here are the appropriate sections: “All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with amendments as on other Bills.” — U.S. Constitution, Article I, section 7, clause 1. “No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time.” — U.S. Constitution, Article I, section 9, clause 7. It would be nice if Fox would remind us of these constitutional provisions. On Newsmax, so-called historian Victor Davis Hanson condemned the eight, saying they have “no plan.” Host Carl Higbee said he had heard that claim repeatedly but the fact is that the House has the power to close the government down. Exactly right. This is leverage. That is enough of a plan. If Biden can make up his own powers of the purse, let the House members exercise their constitutional responsibilities in response. They have every right to do so. Hence, the House can pass smaller budgets and defund various programs and federal activities, such as Special Counsel Jack Smith and aid to Ukraine, Russ Vought, President of Citizens for Renewing America, noted “promises made by McCarthy to pursue a bold conservative agenda,” including:
McCarthy failed and he’s out. His promise to Biden to bring up aid to Ukraine is also out. The danger going ahead is that the House will defund some worthwhile activities, such as assistance to the people of Ukraine. This is a real danger that poses a major threat to Europe as a whole and the United States. But Biden’s failure to protect the U.S. border has led them to this point. They figure that if Biden will not protect the U.S. border, why should the Congress fund Ukraine in its war to protect its border? It is a powerful argument. As a result, Biden will be forced to rally the Europeans to support Ukraine. And that is not a bad thing. The long-term danger is that if the U.S. stops supporting Ukraine, America’s sons and daughters will have to go there, in defense of NATO. As we discuss in our report, The Big Lie Driving Russian Influence in the Conservative Movement and the Destruction of Ukraine, Vladimir Putin is under the influence of geopolitical strategist Alexander Dugin, who not only wants to take all of Ukraine but is devising an alliance of Russia, China, and Iran called Eurasianism. Back in 2014, when Russia first invaded Ukraine, I wrote a column quoting blogger Anton Shekhovtsov as documenting the communist and fascist elements of this new Russian ideology. Shekhovtsov published an article that included a photograph of Dugin and former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. It turns out that Duke had traveled to Russia and had written a book, The Secret Behind Communism, claiming that Jews brought Soviet communism to Russia. Duke ran a story about his meeting with Dugin back in 2005, describing him as “one of the leading intellectuals of Russia's patriotic movement.” An article about Duke's visit to Russia said, “David Duke has seen that a proud and free Russian people are a key to the survival of European mankind. He is as important to this new revolution for freedom and heritage here today as John Reed was for Bolshevik enslavement 87 years earlier.” The latter is part of the current propaganda that Soviet communism was somehow "imposed" on Russia by international bankers, code language for Jews. We went into more detail about Dugin in our book, Back from the Dead: The Return of the Evil Empire. If Fox wants to honestly probe the eight members and their opposition to aid for Ukraine, let them bring on Gaetz, Biggs and the rest and ask them about Dugin’s relationship with Putin. Let us have a real debate on what Russia is doing and what drives the new Russian ideology. In that debate, let us press Biden on his no-win strategy for Ukraine. Zelensky and the leaders of the people of Ukraine should be completely open and honest about what it will take for them to win this war. Then we can decide what it means for the American people if they fail. The open borders of the United States have created a “man-made disaster” of millions flowing in. In rectifying this problem, the House Republicans should avoid creating another flow of refugees in Europe, many of whom will want to escape to the United States. Another man-made disaster will surely follow if Ukraine falls and NATO-member Poland is then made to be Putin’s next target. After Ukraine falls, look for Israel to be the next target of a Russia-backed nuclear Iran. And, of course, the Republic of China on Taiwan is toast. This is Dugin’s vision and our nightmare.

Why on earth does anyone believe Putin wants to start WW3 by attacking Poland. Ridiculous. Quite sure he would be satisfied with the reunification of the oppressed and abused Russian speaking states. In fact he had agreed to that until the u,S,A. And Boris Johnson put an end to that agreement.
