Photo: Mike Allen, Axios. The Hunter Bidens of the Media By Cliff Kincaid The garbage that spews from the major media and their spin-offs is enough to make a healthy person throw up. As a media critic for Accuracy in Media for decades, I wrote thousands of articles and several books on their omissions and bias. I tried to get away from those critiques and do my own investigative reporting. Now, I do both, but still feel drawn to media criticism because the bias over the years has gotten so bad, even worse, than before. I feel a calling to expose the sickness in the major media. Please consider the following prime example: Axios, run by the son of a major conservative journalist by the name of Gary Allen, author of such classics as Say No to the New World Order. Gary Allen wrote some of the best critiques of personalities such as Henry Kissinger. Indeed, his book, Kissinger: The Secret Side of the Secretary of State, described how Henry Kissinger’s “Red China Gambit” included the abandonment of the free people of the Republic of China on Taiwan. He even examined charges from a communist defector that Kissinger was an enemy agent. If we had listened to Gary Allen, America could have been spared its current fate. Over the years, media bias has been transferred to specialized publications like Axios, run by Gary Allen’s son, Mike Allen. Mike rejected his father’s legacy in favor of pandering to the rich and famous on the left, who run Hollywood and social media. He knows where the money is. Hence, he hires a journalist out of the notorious Northwestern School of Brainwashed Journalism by the name of Zachary Basu as his news director, to produce hit pieces on conservatives and Republicans. His latest piece is on how people like President Trump and conservative Supreme Court Justices “exploit post-shame society” by engaging in morally objectionable conduct. It seems that Mike Allen and his underling have no shame themselves. I hesitate to spend much time on such an article, since most people do not read this trash. But their treatment of conservative personalities tells us a lot about their own shameful mindset and failure to engage in any introspection of their own. They think they are taken seriously when the bias is obvious and the parroting of the Democratic Party line is advertised in every word. This article demonstrates how bad the bias will get in the weeks and months ahead. On cue, acting on behalf of Joe Biden, a Hollywood actor by the name of Bradley Whitford has sent an email declaring that “the GOP today is led by a racist birther and twice-impeached con man who is now a convicted felon.” This is all they have, as Biden continues to decline, even helped off stage by Barack Hussein Obama, in a video display seen by millions but denounced by the White House as “fake.” Is it shameful to run such a man for president? I would say so. To begin with, Axios declares that because a Trump is a “convicted felon,” convicted by a kangaroo court in an unfair proceeding, he has no shame. That charge is ridiculous on its face. Allen and his subordinate are repeating Democratic Party talking points that are featured in a new $50 million ad blitz. This is all they got, since their own nominee, Joe Biden, can barely walk and talk. Here’s another charge they make: “Justice Samuel Alito refused to recuse himself from Jan. 6-related cases after acknowledging that his wife flew an upside-down flag — a symbol carried by pro-Trump rioters — outside of their home.” The upside-down flag means that the country is in distress. The flag has been used for decades to signify that something is wrong in the land and that patriots should try to help save their nation. The imbeciles at Axios pretend not to know this. In any event, who cares? Alito and his wife are conservatives who may believe their country is in danger. That view is shared by tens of millions. It has absolutely no bearing on January 6. Rather than being shameful, flying a flag symbolizing concern for one’s country is something to be admired and followed. It sends a message to Axios, which celebrates gay pride with the rainbow flag. But the left-wingers targeting Alito and using Axios for their smear jobs want you to believe the upside-down flag is something else -- a symbol of violence. As a matter of fact, the “pro-Trump rioters” were unarmed. One of them, Ashli Babbitt, was murdered in cold blood by a federal policeman. Axios is a home of sick, disgusting, and shameful people. But they masquerade as “journalists.” We are not fooled. Allen and his underling take shots at other people in the news, such as Elon Musk. They write that, “Like Trump, the eccentric billionaire promotes baseless conspiracy theories to his legions of loyal followers — and relishes criticism from the mainstream media.” So-called “baseless conspiracy theories,” such as Gary Allen’s accurate coverage of Kissinger’s betrayals and his forecast of a “New World Order” that must be resisted? Mike Allen should pay respects to his father. The main thrust of Axios is that conservatives and Republicans are terrible people with no shame over behaving badly. In my opinion, Allen and his team are sick, so sick that it shows and they are in desperate need of mental health counseling. They seem to have a media “bias” that is hateful and even shameful in its full ramifications. And they think that nobody notices! We know that Mike Allen is a wayward son who abandoned his father’s views and his commitment to real investigative journalism. I looked up his “news director,” Zachary Basu, only to discover he graduated from Northwestern University, home of the notorious journalism “educator” Curtis MacDougall, pioneer of socialist journalism for the masses. Read my report on MacDougall if you don’t believe me. MacDougall was a Castro sympathizer who rooted for George McGovern for president, running on such a far-left platform that he was crushed in the election. I was assigned his “textbook” when I studied journalism. If they had any integrity, Mike Allen would resign in disgrace and take his assistant “news editor” with him. They continue with their diatribes because that is where the money is. They are the Hunter Bidens of the media, doing anything for money and clicks from the Democrats.
