I think President Trump is correct about Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) and the Rob Reiner murders. Reiner was full of hate for Trump but full of misplaced “love” for his 32-year-old killer son. Reiner could not face up to the truth about his son but concocted lies about Trump’s mental state.

Nick Reiner’s victims could have included the Obamas. They were scheduled to meet with Rob and Michele Reiner the night of their murders.

Even after his son Nick reportedly destroyed his guest house, he was still getting access to Reiner’s $13 million mansion. That fatal mistake cost the lives of Rob Reiner and his wife Michele. Nick Reiner should have been locked out of the house. Under the law, he could have been held in an involuntary treatment program for substance abuse or mental health disorders.

But he benefitted from a “progressive” policy of opposing incarceration. He was clearly a danger to himself and others but had easy access to mind-altering drugs.

Strangely, he was never been arrested for drug charges. How is this possible? Who protected him?
Hollywood is fortunate that the killer son didn’t kill more people at the Hollywood party Rob Reiner took his son Nick to. That was a few hours before police later found Rob Reiner and his wife Michele dead in their beds. Nick could have taken out his psychotic anger and rage on many more people. It could have been another case of mass violence.

That event was hosted by Conan O’Brien and was considered a Christmas party. Rob Reiner brought his drug-addicted son there, just hours before Nick Reiner went home with his parents to kill them. He could have killed many more at the party.

The Hollywood outlet TMZ reported that Nick Reiner engaged in a “very loud argument" with another guest at the party, as attendees noted his “unstable behavior,” and also argued with his parents. Why on earth did Rob Reiner bring him to this party, knowing their son had been in and out of rehab 17 times?

At the Hollywood party, where Nick Reiner acted strangely, Rob Reiner’s friends were exposed to mortal dangers. That was grossly irresponsible on Rob Reiner’s part. He should never have done this to his friends. But his preoccupation with Trump blinded him to the dangers of his own son. Let’s be honest about this.

In truth, Rob Reiner hated Trump more than he loved his son. Nick Reiner should have been in a mandatory treatment facility. It looks like Rob Reiner projected his verdict on Trump as a mental case that should have been applied to his own son Nick Reiner.

We understand a father’s love for his son but Nick Reiner had a history of drug use and strange behavior spanning more than a decade. Nick Reiner became a prop for his father’s film career, when they collaborated on a film touting his “recovery” from dope. It was a complete fraud.  

Indeed, his son was cannon fodder for a film, Being Charlie, about the virtues of rehab. The film, whose message of healing and hope has now exploded into a grisly scene of murder and death, won a “Special Recognition Award” from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) of the U.S. Government.

After reportedly killing his parents, he checked into a motel with a credit card. Who facilitated his drug purchases?

Where did Nick Reiner get his drugs? That should have been a topic of discussion for Reiner and his Hollywood friends. That’s worth a feature-length film.

According to various reports about his drug addiction and “recovery,” he had been in and out of rehab since the age of 15, consuming marijuana, heroin, cocaine, and alcohol along the way. On one podcast, supposedly after being cured, “Nick shared that he still smokes marijuana and drinks occasionally, though he hasn’t used heroin in nearly four years.”

The talking heads bad-mouthing Trump about his comment on Rob Reiner’s TDS ignore what Reiner should have done about his son. Clearly, he still had a drug problem and was a danger to others.

The tragedy could have been avoided if Rob Reiner had exposed how he was getting his drugs and from whom.  He should have been cut off from his drug supply at the source.

It’s an old story. Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward exposed drug use in Hollywood in his 1984 book on the death of comedian John Belushi titled Wired: The Short Life and Fast Times of John Belushi. He died from using cocaine and heroin. Hollywood didn’t like the book. It exposed their love for the drug culture.

Hollywood is awash in dangerous drugs and their media allies soft-pedal the dangers of the drug culture. Hollywood favors legalization of drugs, making drugs more available and morally acceptable, and thus increasing drug use.

Hence, marijuana is legal in California, a trend-setter. A victim of this trend, Rob Reiner obviously thought his drug-addicted son was somehow “cured.”

Rob Reiner suffered from TDS. Take some time to Google Rob Reiner’s rants about Trump and you will quickly understand there is something seriously wrong with Reiner, not Trump. It was Rob Reiner who was irrational. He was so full of invective for Trump that it makes you think Reiner was suffering from a syndrome.

TDS is not listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), the official guide for psychiatric diagnoses. But it seems clear that some mental condition had blinded Rob Reiner to what was really going on in America and his own family.

To get to the bottom of this requires more than a murder trial for Nick Reiner. Hollywood must be exposed for the political cesspool of drug use and irrational behavior that it is.

Look at the pictures of the Reiner mansion and the gate in front of it. The public was locked out but Nick Reiner got in. That is the nature of this tragedy. These people live a sheltered existence that has now boomeranged on them.

Then think about reports that Barack and Michelle Obama were scheduled to meet with the Reiners the night the bodies were discovered. Nick Reiner, the psychotic pothead, could have had a few more famous victims.

Those attacking Trump for his comments on the murders should instead seek a cure for TDS.
