Whereas President Trump has declared, “virtually every day for years, before he was murdered, Charlie received these horrible death threats.” President Trump said, “I used to talk to him about it. He said, ‘I got some threats.’” 


I hereby request access to files, documents, emails, text messages, or any material relating to security involving and advance planning by the Utah Valley University Police Department (UVUPD) regarding the [September] 10, 2025 appearance on campus of Charlie Kirk and what planning, if any, was done to understand the nature of these threats.


This request should cover:

• Information regarding any threats received or understood by UVU before and after the appearance.
• Whether information regarding these threats was provided to Turning Point USA, UVUPD, Utah Department of Public Safety, and the FBI.
• Number of UVUPD members -- and their names -- assigned to the event.
• Correspondence with Jeffrey Long, the police chief at UVU.
• Correspondence with the Utah Department of Public Safety.
• Correspondence with the FBI.
• Correspondence with other law enforcement agencies.
• Correspondence with Turning Point USA, including its security personnel.
• News releases, announcements, or any information provided by UVU in advance of the event to the surrounding community through media of any kind.
