What is the "New Age?"

Too many "conservatives" dismiss the significance and influence of Marianne Williamson. They see her as a joke or a nut. Wrong.  They see her proposal for a "Department of Peace" and laugh. 

Our book on Obama's "Permanent Revolution" explains: 

A top [Bernie] Sanders adviser turned out to be Marianne Williamson, whose self-help books were heavily promoted by Oprah Winfrey and sold millions. Oprah’s website describes Williamson in particular as “a pioneer on the front lines of a worldwide spiritual movement aimed at creating a global shift in collective consciousness.” Williamson, who wrote on the Sanders-for-president website about the need for “revolutionary power,” has used her vast influence to mobilize her followers on behalf of the “progressive” wing of the Democratic Party. She believes the presidency of Barack Obama wasn’t radical enough.
