A Race Hoax From Black Anchor Lester Holt

Remember this story (New York Times) : Black Virginia Girl Says White Classmates Cut Her Dreadlocks on Playground. NBC News added that this was the school where Karen Pence teaches. 

As usual, NBC Nightly News black anchorman Lester Holt, always eager to feature white-on-black violence, highlighted the claims that white boys did this hate crime (see above). He portrayed her as a straight-A student and violin player who wouldn't lie about something as serious as this. 

Her family "wants the boys to be punished," said NBC News correspondent Rehema Ellis. 

It was all a lie.

The girl, Amari Allen, told WUSA9 "that one boy covered her mouth and the second boy put her hands behind her back, while the third boy pulled out scissors and cut her medium-length locks while calling her names."  WUSA9 added: "They kept laughing and calling me names," Amari said, as tears poured down her face. "They called me 'ugly,' said, 'I shouldn't have been born.' They called me 'an attention-seeker.'"

A fundraiser was established to help 12 year-old Amari "recover from the assault."

WUSA ran a story claiming the allegations were true: Days after she was was attacked on a school playground and forcibly had her locs cut by three boys, Amari Allen and her family speak out on Great Day Washington.

This was more fake news designed to divide America and incite violence.
