More relevant than ever before, America’s Survival, Inc. released a hard-to-find copy of the 1961 House Committee on Un-American Activities analysis of the book How Parliament can Play a Revolutionary Part in Transition to Socialism. ​This is a how-to-book on how communists overthrow non-communist majorities and make democracies into dictatorships.  

The book outlines how a parliament or legislative body (such as the U.S. Congress) can be helpful in “transforming democratic nations” into communist countries. The author, Jan Kozak, historian of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, said that the “revolutionary transformation of capitalist society into a socialist one” can occur without violence and terrorism. Citing the case of Czechoslovakia, he argues that “our experience provides notable and practical proof that it is possible to transform parliament from an instrument of the bourgeoisie into an instrument of the revolutionary democratic will of the people and into an instrument for the development of the socialist revolution.”

This is what is happening in South Africa today, where a communist regime is running the country by attracting and exploiting the votes of the majority black population in “free elections.” It is the case in America, where former President Barack Hussein Obama and his collaborators are pursuing a “Brown is the New White” strategy of overwhelming and defeating the conservative majority, accentuated by a vote fraud strategy. The strategy gave them a Watergate-style majority in the House of Representatives in 2018, the presidency in 2020 (through vote fraud), and a possible takeover of the Senate on January 5, 2021, in Senate run-off elections where vote fraud will also be a factor. Then, America will have a one-party socialist state, and the Republicans will be relegated to permanent minority status.

The new conditions which are the consequence of the profound objective and subjective changes in the world create also new opportunities and prospects for the socialist revolution, new avenues as far as the forms of transition to socialism are concerned. In a number of countries which are particularly weakened by the conflicts within the capitalist order, the opportunity has arisen for the workers’ class to place itself firmly at the head of great popular movements for national independence, democracy, peace and socialism, to defeat the reactionary anti-people forces striving for the maintenance, and aggravation of national oppression and exploitation, to win a decisive majority in Parliament and to change it from all organ of the bourgeois democracy into an organ of power for the democracy of working people, into a direct instrument of power for the peaceful development of the socialist revolution.
 
Also, our experience provides notable and practical proof that it is possible to transform parliament from an instrument of the bourgeoisie into an instrument of the revolutionary democratic will of the people and into an instrument for the development of the socialist revolution.
