Dear Friend of America's Survival,
I have not yet seen the Netflix "docuseries" titled, "Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez." But we do know that the convicted killer was a pothead -- Hernandez chain-smoked marijuana -- and that he was secretly gay. The far-out BuzzFeed News reports that the new series Killer Inside "explores the role that queerness and denial might have played in Hernandez’s life, death, and crimes." The Hartford Courant notes: "Former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez smoked marijuana after football games and during the offseason, but the rampant drug use disclosed at his recent murder trial never resulted in an NFL suspension...Prosecution witness Alexander Bradley, a Hartford resident, testified that Hernandez 'chain-smoked' up to an ounce of marijuana on a daily basis, and dozens of other witnesses said they saw him smoke or noticed the distinctive scent of marijuana in his basement 'man cave.'" The Washington Post noted that Bradley, a drug dealer, "grew close to Hernandez during his playing days at Florida, supplying marijuana and basking in the football player’s reflected glory." The Courant said he "dropped to the fourth round [of the NFL draft] because of positive marijuana tests that sidelined him for at least one game in college." His college coach reportedly said Hernandez was a "chronic" marijuana user. He was secretly gay, had a "prison boyfriend," and may have been HIV positive. He hung himself in prison in 2017. The death of his father in 2006 was a traumatic event. For America's Survival, Cliff Kincaid
