No Choke Hold Used in Floyd Case
Comment from reader:
If you wanted to choke someone so they couldn't breathe I would think you'd want to do it by applying pressure to the front of the neck where the trachea is located. I don't see how you could choke somebody by kneeling on the side of their neck, there's no windpipe there. One of the symptoms of fentynol overdose is difficulty breathing. Vomiting is another symptom. I believe they kept him on his stomach so he wouldn't flip over onto his back and possibly choke on his own puke. I believe the drugs killed him. George Floyd killed George Floyd, not the police. Plus, Derek Chauvin didn't look too concerned that he was being filmed because he figured he was just doing his job. They knew Floyd was on drugs, but they had no way of knowing just how bad it was. They had no idea the guy was going to die. It wasn't their fault. If Chauvin was trying to kill the guy on purpose, he would have immediately let Floyd up once he realized he was being filmed because he wouldn't want to get himself into trouble. But it looks like he did anyway. Unreal. I think the guy would have died regardless, with or without the knee to the neck.
