![]() Trump Campaign Embraces Abortion and Homosexuality By Cliff Kincaid By embracing abortion pills and homosexual “marriage,” the Trump for president campaign is trying to make a deal with many of the global forces determined to take him out of the race. This dramatic turn, as significant as Joe Biden’s physical and mental decline, means that the anti-Christian social order is too strong for Trump to overcome and that he is making a deal with the devil to win the November election. I have been covering the emergence of this “New World Order” since the first of my two books on the United Nations was published in 1995. In my second book, Global Taxes for World Government, I devoted a whole chapter, “Life Unworthy of Life,” to the U.N. Population Fund and other agencies engaging in a population reduction effort that used abortion and infanticide in Communist China and was being modeled and spread around the world. The phrase “Life unworthy of life” originated with the Nazis. It has now come to the United States and Trump is embracing it. “The Supreme Court just approved the abortion pill, and I agree with their decision to have done that, and I will not block it,” the former president said during his debate with Joe Biden, speaking about the Supreme Court allowing the consumption of deadly and dangerous abortion pills. Not one of his three appointments to the Supreme Court, even the Catholics like Kavanaugh and Barrett, sought to block these dangerous drugs. In the case that went to the Supreme Court, U.S. District Court Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk had examined the history of chemical abortion, linking it to Planned Parenthood and “several well-known eugenicists,” a movement associated with the Nazis and other totalitarian movements. Once there was a pope, John Paul II, who warned about these developments and trends. He identified a “Culture of Death” that “is actively fostered by powerful cultural, economic and political currents…” He called these forces “the powerful of the earth” engaged in a “conspiracy against life.” He decried the influence of “powerful international organizations,” a clear reference to the U.N. and the U.N. Population Fund. He referred to the 1994 U.N. Conference on Population and Development as being designed to “destroy the family” and was the “snare of the devil.” This Polish pope’s anti-communism made him a target of an assassination attempt organized by the Russian KGB. Since 1921, when Communist Russia legalized abortion, more than one billion babies have been murdered by abortion, including more than 60 million in the U.S. Trump is an obvious target of many of these same forces but has decided, for reasons of political expediency, to make a deal with them. He has warned Republicans that opposition to abortion has “cost” the GOP politically. So he endorses abortion drugs and “state’s rights” on abortion, a formula that led to the first American Civil War when some states wanted to keep slaves and others wanted them to be free of bondage. “This nation fought a terrible war so that black Americans would be guaranteed their God-given rights,” President Ronald Reagan said about the Civil War in the context of abortion. “Abraham Lincoln recognized that we could not survive as a free land when some could decide whether others should be free or slaves. Well, today another question begs to be asked: How can we survive as a free nation when some decide that others are not fit to live and should be done away with?” The 2024 Republican platform has not only dropped support for a human life amendment to protect the rights of the unborn but has dropped opposition to so-called gay marriage. Trump’s wife Melania, a Catholic, has hosted two fundraisers for “gay” Republicans that included homosexual “married’ couples. A participant in those events is Ric Grenell, a former Trump national security official who wants to use the power of the federal government to spread homosexuality to Christian and Muslim lands. It is a prescription for more conflict and wars that is sure to drive remaining Christian countries, especially in Africa, into the hands of the Chinese and the Russians. Indeed, when he was Trump's U.S. Ambassador to Germany, Ric Grenell went to the United Nations to promote what he called a global initiative to force all U.N. members to approve homosexual conduct. He was joined in this demand by Trump’s U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., Kelly Craft, who lectured the 69 countries which have laws making homosexuality illegal. She told them that “human dignity” requires that every country on the face of the earth embrace the practice of homosexuality. Years ago I wrote a major report on the homosexual infiltration of the Republican Party. Little did we know that President Trump would run on a very conservative platform and win in 2016 but now backtrack at this critical juncture in American history when he is seen as someone who can turn back the agenda of Cultural Marxism. Even the current pope, Francis, a liberal on most issues, has nothing but disdain for the homosexual activists, accusing them of “faggotry” and infiltrating Catholic seminaries. Commenting on the Republican sell-out on abortion, as reflected in the platform, Thomas Jacobson of the Global Life Campaign wrote, “It appears to me that these changes are for the idolatrous purpose of gaining power and control of the federal government by abandoning fundamental beliefs and principles that have defined Republicans from the launching of the Party in the mid-1800s. Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican president, would be shocked and deeply grieved, as I am this day.” Politically, the abortion holocaust is packaged in the attractive terms of “reproductive freedom” and “women’s rights,” giving women the “right” to destroy their own offspring and call it “progress.” For some feminists, it has become a sacrament, a form of child sacrifice common during the pagan era of Moloch worship. They brag about it. Rather than fight this, the Trump 2024 platform panders to the feminist vote. Some of the current trends embraced by Trump were on display at a recent “Gay Pride” festival in Frederick County, Maryland, where exhibitors distributed abortion pill information and stickers proclaiming “Shout Your Abortion.” Vendors advertised the sale of marijuana while drag queens pranced in front of women and children. The event also featured a special “youth area” with a “Drag Queen Story Time” event. This kind of Cultural Marxism is rampant in America and is the current face of the national Democratic Party. What Trump’s people apparently do not understand is that pandering to the abortion, feminist, and gay rights lobbies runs the risk of alienating millions of conservatives and Christians. On this basis, once the word gets out, Trump’s campaign could self-destruct in much the same way Joe Biden is falling apart on the world stage.

There are substantial troubling changes in the national Republican Platform 2024, adopted yesterday, 9 July 2024, by the Republican National Committee. The 2016 Platform (also quoted below) was strong in support of the sanctity of human life, religious freedom, rights of conscience, marriage, family, and opposition to abortion, tax-payer funding of Planned Parenthood, and stem cell research using aborted baby tissues and cells. The 2024 Platform is much shorter, speaks little on some of these topics, recognizes state authority regarding abortion policy, but only says, “We will oppose Late Term Abortion” – leaving the door open for supporting abortion nationally in the first and second trimester. It appears to me that these changes are for the idolatrous purpose of gaining power and control of the federal government by abandoning fundamental beliefs and principles that have defined Republicans from the launching of the Party in the mid-1800s. Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican president, would be shocked and deeply grieved, as I am this day. GLC Weekly (2024-07-10) Thomas W. Jacobson, Global Life Campaign ![]() The Abortion Crisis in the Republican Party By Cliff Kincaid Flipping through the channels, I came upon an episode of “Law & Order,” in which the main characters “witness an execution and try to come to terms with their roles in the killing of another human being.” The program features a typical liberal prosecutor having second thoughts about seeking the death penalty against a convicted murderer. It reminds us of the “progressive” prosecutors in today’s America. On the other hand, in today’s America, innocent unborn human life is considered the property of others, subject to the whims of a woman and her abortionist. Substitute unborn human beings for slaves as property and you have the ingredients for another American Civil War. Will the party of Lincoln do what is right? According to the 2024 Republican platform, the answer is no. Representatives of the Republican Party, on the eve of its national convention, are embracing abortion as a “state’s rights” issue and explicitly declaring support for deadly and dangerous abortion pills, euphemistically labeled as “medication” by the fake news media. Let’s understand the morality of the moment, as captured by that “Law & Order” show: a convicted killer takes a human life and forfeits his right to life as a result of due process. By contrast, an innocent unborn human being is being denied the right to life without due process and faces torture and death. The national Right to Life Committee notes that the 2016 Republican Platform cited the Constitution’s guarantee that no one can “be deprived of life, liberty or property” and deliberately echoes the Declaration of Independence’s proclamation that “all” are “endowed by their creator” with the inalienable right to life. “Accordingly,” the platform declared, “we assert the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental right to life which cannot be infringed.” As Republicans focus on the crisis in the Democratic Party, watching with dismay as Joe Biden struggles with his physical and mental health, the Republicans have a crisis of their own making. They are adopting a “moderate” pro-abortion position they think will win them votes this November. Consider Ohio Republican Senator J.D. Vance on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on July 7, in which he endorsed dangerous abortion drugs, labeled as “human pesticides” by pro-lifers. Vance was asked about Trump saying he supports access to “abortion medication” and Vance replied that “the Supreme Court made a decision saying that the American people should have access to that medication. Donald Trump has supported that opinion. I support that opinion.” The FDA had approved chemical abortion drugs that are dangerous to women and children and the Supreme Court subsequently in a case ruled 9-0 that opponents of these deadly pills have no standing to sue. The Just the News site reported, “The 9-0 decision did not address the group's underlying legal argument about whether the FDA acted lawfully in lifting various restrictions, including one making the drug obtainable via mail. As a result, the issues could return to the court in another case.” Millions of lives have already been lost and millions more could be lost before “standing” is granted to the unborn and their rights reaffirmed under the U.S. Constitution. Erin Morrow Hawley, a former law clerk of Chief Justice John Roberts and wife of Republican senator Josh Hawley, had argued before the Supreme Court on behalf of pro-life doctors defending unborn human rights. In the case that went before the Supreme Court, Matthew Kacsmaryk, a U.S. District Court Judge, wrote in clear and direct language that the drugs result in the killing of a human baby and the extinction of a human life. There is simply no dispute over this. He wrote, “Mifepristone -- also known as RU-486 or Mifeprex -- is a synthetic steroid that blocks the hormone progesterone, halts nutrition, and ultimately starves the unborn human until death. Because mifepristone alone will not always complete the abortion, FDA mandates a two-step drug regimen: mifepristone to kill the unborn human, followed by misoprostol to induce cramping and contractions to expel the unborn human from the mother’s womb.” The judge’s ruling was notable not only for his clear language about the stakes but the history of the abortion movement, detailed in very significant footnotes. He traces demand for the abortion drugs to the Population Council, founded by John D. Rockefeller in 1952 after he convened a conference with “population activists” such as Planned Parenthood’s director and “several well-known eugenicists.” Eugenics is associated with the Nazis and other totalitarian movements and is an effort to “improve” the human condition through “science” and genetic manipulation. In practice, this has meant separating those deemed “superior” in quality versus “the inferior.” In fact, the judge adds that the conference attendees discussed “the problem of ‘quality’” and that they concluded that “[m]odern civilization had reduced the operation of natural selection by saving more ‘weak’ lives and enabling them to reproduce,” thereby resulting in “a downward trend in . . . genetic quality.” The Nazis called these people “life unworthy of life.” In a March 14 op-ed for Crisis Magazine, clinical pharmacist Anthony Campagna declared that mifepristone “isn’t a medication at all,” noting that “[T]he right to be called a medication is forfeited the second a drug is used… with the intent to actively take life.” “[M]ifepristone has been responsible for the deaths of millions of unborn children,” Campagna wrote. “[T]he drug is responsible for close to a half million murdered children per year, and the number is growing.” Deferring to the Supreme Court, as Senator Vance advocated, is a form of judicial supremacy or even tyranny. That power grab can be seen in how the original Supreme Court decision in 1973 legalized abortion on demand, leading to the loss of 60 million innocent unborn lives. Worldwide, as noted by the Global Life Campaign, one billion babies have been destroyed, with most of the loss of life in Russia, the first communist state to legalize abortion, and Communist China. While the Supreme Court overturned the Roe v. Wade decision, sending abortion back to the states, restoring the right to life for all innocent human persons from conception to natural death remains the most important issue of our time. Without the right to life, there are no other rights. Clearly, America needs an Emancipation Proclamation for the Unborn. Then, as the 2016 GOP platform recommends, there is a need for “a human life amendment to the Constitution and legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections apply to children before birth.” Yet, the Republican Party is politically afraid to take a principled stand in favor of human rights. Its 2024 platform is weak, declaring that while the 14th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States “guarantees that no person can be denied Life or Liberty without Due Process,” the States are “free to pass Laws protecting those Rights.” By the same token, they are also “free” to deny those rights. That’s not a Lincolnesque approach to making sure we have a nation that is fully free.
![]() The Conspiracy to Save Joe Biden By Cliff Kincaid Vladimir Putin’s partner in crime, the communist family-run dungeon known as North Korea, is sending bags of poop to South Korea. Seriously. Bags of excrement, rubbish and propaganda leaflets are attached to balloons and sent to the anti-communist south. Dropping feces seems to be a new low, even for a communist dictatorship. They don’t do that kind of thing here, in the great United States. Instead, poop is packaged as “news” emanating from the Biden White House and regurgitated by the “mainstream media.” But one of the bags has exploded in their face. Biden stands exposed as a corpse, a cadaver, masquerading as president. And his enablers in the media have it all over their faces, rather than egg. One of the greatest books of all time is Medical Cover-Ups in the White House, originally published in 1987. Obviously, it must be updated to examine the case of Joseph R. Biden. In this case, we have a lot to examine. His personal physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, described Biden in 2019 as a “healthy, vigorous, 77-year-old male who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the presidency to include those as chief executive, head of state, and commander in chief.” At the time, Politico reported that “Biden is so confident of his fitness he challenged an Iowa farmer two weeks ago to a contest of pushups, running or an IQ test after the man said Biden was ‘too damn old.’” That Iowa farmer was right. O’Connor issued medical statements on Biden in 2023 and 2024, declaring he was “fit for duty.” But there were no references to an IQ test. Now we know the truth. In unraveling the cover-up, we must start with his medical exams. O’Connor was the physician to Vice President Biden from 2009 to 2017 and was named President Biden’s White House physician in 2021. The latest Biden “health summary” was released on February 28 of this year. But there was no cognitive test. The media believed whatever the doctor said, leading to these headlines:
After the Special Counsel found Biden to be an old man with a bad memory, unable to stand trial for stealing classified documents, Rep. Ronny Jackson (TX-13) sent a letter to Joe Biden demanding that he take a cognitive exam. More than 80 colleagues joined him. This was the fifth such letter. The Special Counsel report by Robert Hur described Biden as a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,” and stated that, “He did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended.” The Jackson letter called on the Cabinet to “swiftly begin the process for invoking the 25th Amendment if President Biden is unwilling or unable to sit for an assessment.” Well, that “assessment” came in the debate for all to see. The cover-up ended and the damage control began. But America has already been damaged, as the wars in Europe and the Middle East rage under Biden’s “watch.” Don’t forget he encouraged the Russian invasion of Ukraine by saying a minor “incursion” might be tolerated. At the time, the media called it a “gaffe.” Was this a mistake caused by dementia? According to public reports, people with dementia “may not be able to find the right word or may use a related word instead.” They can forget the meaning of words. When it’s a president, dementia can have earth-shattering repercussions and cause wars. The result: By one estimate, Ukraine has suffered 124,500 to 131,000 casualties, with as many as 17,500 killed in action. Total deaths and injuries are estimated to approach 500,000. Meanwhile, the establishment journal Foreign Affairs is warning of a “looming crisis” involving a Communist Chinese invasion of Taiwan. The authors noted, “Over two days, Chinese forces engaged in air and maritime operations encircling Taiwan and some of its outlying islands. This drill allowed the Chinese military and coast guard to experiment and rehearse coordinated operations. Chinese media showed computer-generated footage of Chinese missile strikes against Taiwan, and the Chinese coast guard using water cannons and inspecting a vessel headed to Taiwan.” Don’t think America’s young men and women will be spared from the carnage. On top of what the media call “military recruitment challenges,” the Democratic Party wants to draft men and women into the Armed Forces. This comes as the 75th anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is scheduled to take place in a summit July 9-11 in Washington, D.C. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, White House reporters finally started asking some tough questions. ABC brought up Dr. O’Connor’s claim in February that Biden was a “healthy, active, robust 81-year-old male, who remains fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.” In this context, as noted by ABC News, Biden press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was “asked directly about the president's health records and whether anything is being hidden from the public eye” and that she replied, “Absolutely not.” ABC News added that Jean-Pierre “was also asked repeatedly about whether Biden will release results from any mental acuity tests.” She replied, “The medical team said it is not warranted in this case. We have put forward a thorough, transparent, annual report on his health. So, they have said that is not warranted. It is not necessary. Again, we understand, we understand. We’re not taking away from what you all saw, what the American people saw. We understand, it was a bad night.” The “medical team,” according to O’Connor, includes various specialists who “examined the president” and concurred with his “findings.” If this is not a conspiracy of silence, what is? Back in March, Jean-Pierre hung up the phone on a North Carolina radio host, WBT Charlotte’s Mark Garrison, after he asked about Biden’s dementia. WBT called it the dial tone heard around the country. For his part, Dr. O’Connor has a lot to answer for. A retired U.S. Army Colonel, he took an oath saying he would “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic…” How can he in good conscience give a clean bill of health to a president with serious mental problems? Isn’t that a violation of his oath? What did he know and when did he know it? An article about his job noted that “There is much more media attention on the President’s health as well, along with the global consequences associated with treating a world leader.” What an understatement. Tell that to Ukraine.
![]() Psycho Joe Turns on Dementia Joe By Cliff Kincaid President Trump called him “Psycho Joe.” Joe Scarborough, a former “conservative” Republican congressman from Florida plagued by personal problems, is a sad case indeed. Eating crow with egg all over his face, this Comcast/NBC/MSNBC media personality is a laughing stock for having insulted anybody in his audience who thought Joe Biden wasn’t up to the job of being president. But there is more to the story – the fate of Joe Biden remains in the hands of the American politburo, led by Barack Hussein Obama. This is the real story most of the media won’t touch. They want you to believe Jill Biden is calling the shots. To understand the precarious fate of the current Oval Office occupant, consider a fascinating story about the “official” end of the Soviet Union that claimed that old men helped cause the Soviet Union’s collapse and it is “a warning sign for the United States.” Tragically, the end of the United States under Joe Biden could very well come to pass, as he hangs on to power and our enemies on the global stage plot their next moves. That would complete Obama’s “fundamental transformation” of the United States. With two wars underway, another in the Middle East being feared, and a World War III with communist China and Russia increasingly the subject of discussion, who knows? What we do know is that the American people have been lied to by influential media personalities such as Joe Scarborough of MSNBC about Joe Biden’s health problems. Interestingly, Scarborough is a former conservative Republican Representative who suffered a major scandal when one of his employees was found dead in one of his congressional offices. The Alex Jones of MSNBC Consider the difference between Alex Jones, who is going bankrupt because of his lies about Sandy Hook, and Joe Scarborough, still on the air after spouting lies about Joe Biden being in great health. Scarborough’s MSNBC show is part of the Comcast media empire and cable monopoly. His job is safe, although his credibility is shot to hell. In March, Joe Scarborough of MSNBC declared, “Start your tape right now because I’m about to tell you the truth. And f-you if you can’t handle the truth. This version of Biden, intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever. Not a close second. And I’ve known him for years. … If it weren’t the truth, I wouldn’t say it.” I quote this statement, which has been noted by many conservative commentators, because I know something about Scarborough, a reported favorite of Joe Biden who was dubbed a “psycho” by President Trump. The publication Axios said Biden was “obsessed” with Scarborough’s program and follows his lead. They talk regularly, the publication said. How a character like Scarborough made it in the media world, and then used his perch to lie to his audience about a momentous issue of public importance like the president’s health, says a lot about the condition of the media today. These people are as sick as Biden, but in different ways. In contrast to the old Soviet Union, where the Communist Party could pick and choose leaders, American presidents are limited to two terms. However, with many thinking Biden’s term has really been Obama’s third term, one can’t resist concluding that Obama is orchestrating the political campaign of the Democratic Party behind the scenes. In effect, Obama runs the politburo of the Democratic Party. Obama, not Jill Biden, is the real power behind Biden and he has decided Joe simply had a “bad debate night.” We have four months left in the Biden presidency and many ominous things could happen. Obama must know this. The American Politburo Let’s examine the Biden presidency in the context of what communists did in the old Soviet Union. The article about gerontocracy in the USSR was dated January of 2023 and declared, “The United States' leadership has more parallels with the latter days of the USSR than those leaders might care to admit. President Joe Biden is 80. His predecessor, Donald Trump, entered office at 70 and six years later is considered a frontrunner for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination.” Since the article by John Haltiwanger appeared, many things have changed, such as Trump becoming the GOP nominee and facing Biden in a debate showing signs of dementia. Trump, by contrast, seemed in very good health and was sharp on his feet. In America, of course, there is no age limit on presidents. However, the “warming sign” that the author wrote about has come to pass, as millions of Americans saw Biden’s sad and even pathetic performance. Still, he remains in office. That’s Obama’s doing, with an assist from sycophants like Joe Scarborough. Anyone who paid any attention to Biden saw this coming, especially after the Special Counsel report found Biden to be a doddering old man not worthy of even being prosecuted for stealing and disclosing classified documents. Scarborough’s defense of Biden’s health seemed defensive, based on his use of profanity against those who doubted him. Now he looks like a complete fool. But it’s worse than that. E had to have known that Joe was a basket case. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde I remember Scarborough from his days as a “conservative” Republican Representative from Florida, when he introduced the United Nations Withdrawal Act of 1995 and I met with his staff to discuss it. He had a very conservative record. Indeed, he received a 95 percent lifetime rating from the American Conservative Union. He got a 96 percent rating from the National Right to Life Committee and a zero rating from Planned Parenthood. What happened to Scarborough over the years? The easy answer is Trump Derangement Syndrome. But something else snapped during a time of significant personal problems. We know that President Donald Trump in 2017 raised the issue of an “unsolved mystery” years ago in Florida that had the potential to hurt Scarborough’s journalistic career. He was referring to the death of Lori Klausutis, who worked in Scarborough’s Fort Walton Beach congressional office, in 2001. Scarborough served in Congress from 1995-2001. Trump declared, “When will they open a Cold Case on the Psycho Joe Scarborough matter in Florida. Did he get away with murder? Some people think so. Why did he leave Congress so quietly and quickly? Isn’t it obvious? What’s happening now? A total nut job!” Anybody can read the medical examiner’s report and draw their own conclusions. A reporter named Jon Webb investigated and declared that conspiracy theories gained currency because “of the complicated nature of Lori’s death” and the “long time” it took to release an autopsy report, “allowing speculation to flourish.” She had an “undiagnosed heart disorder” and fell in an empty office with no witnesses present, the reporter said. Scarborough attacked Trump as “a politician so obsessed with a morning cable news show that he has sought retribution by repeatedly defaming a dead woman's memory.” Scarborough’s Obsession With Trump According to Axios, it was Biden who had an “obsession” with Scarborough. It appears that some kinds of “obsession” are perfectly acceptable. Axios found nothing wrong with Biden’s obsession. I find it weird. Equally significant, Scarborough’s personal life has not been without controversy. He was divorced two times and married his MSNBC co-host, Mika Brzezinski, in 2018. She divorced her own husband in 2016. I am not “obsessed” with Joe Scarborough. But I am curious about his change of heart, the death of his former staffer, and his demonstrable lies about Biden’s health. This is a person with contempt for his audience and a desire to deceive them for political purposes. He went from one end of the political spectrum to the other. After the debate, Scarborough reversed himself again, wondering “whether this man we've known and loved for a very long time is up to the task of running for president of the United States.” Scarborough did not say if he wept. Perhaps he has resorted to screaming f-you in front of the mirror.
![]() The Deep State Threatens a Five-Year-Old Girl By Cliff Kincaid Stephen K. Bannon decided to be a martyr rather than give his two cents to the J6 congressional committee. It’s too bad. He can conduct very good interviews of prominent figures, such as Hunter Biden’s former girlfriend, Lunden Roberts, talking about threats on her life and her five-year-old daughter. Every American should watch this interview, conducted on June 26, one day before Biden’s debate with Trump. Can you imagine if this matter had been brought up? Joe would have reduced to even more of a mess. Lunden Roberts lives with her daughter in Arkansas, the home state of the Clintons. You don’t cross the Clintons, she said. Otherwise, “you go missing, or something happens to you…That’s what I’ve always heard.” Just ask former Clinton White House lawyer Vincent Foster. As for Bannon, a former Trump aide, he talks for a living but wouldn’t talk to the J6 committee. As the old saying goes, “you made your bed, now lie in it.” He wanted to stay out of prison so he could continue to talk about the election campaign. He whined about being held in contempt of Congress until the last minute, when the Supreme Court refused to keep him out of prison. Now he’s going to the slammer. Conservatives and Trump supporters must understand that Bannon is not a political prisoner. Yes, the J6 committee was biased, slanted, and illegitimate. But plenty of good people decided to testify, including Donald Trump Jr. and Stephen Miller. They knew it was a kangaroo court but decided to go ahead with the confrontation with the witch hunters anyway. The only way to fight them was by exercising the right of freedom of speech and confronting them. Bannon decided not to. Now he’s going to jail. That was his decision. Don’t weep any tears for him. However, I will say this about that: Bannon’s interview with Lunden Roberts should be watched by every American concerned about their country and the existence of a Deep State that seeks to intimidate or even murder its political opponents. Lunden Roberts had Hunter Biden’s child, now five years old, and has written a book, Out of the Shadows, about her experiences. The most explosive parts of the interview, in my view, concerned the safety and security of her daughter, who was finally acknowledged to be Hunter Biden’s after a paternity suit. Her daughter’s name is Navy Joan Roberts. They live in a small town in Arkansas and have been forced to rely on their own guard dogs and guns when her family has been threatened and in danger. The highlights included:
This interview that she gave to Bannon on the Real America’s Voice network is absolutely shocking, even to a veteran observer of Washington’s corrupt ways like myself, and adds to the perception and in fact the reality that a Deep State operates in America and is serving the interests of the Biden (Obama) regime. After 40 years of covering Washington, D.C., the Roberts interview only confirms the corrupt nature of the “establishment” that has run the nation’s capital at least until Trump arrived on the scene, and then they tried to destroy him. For some reason, probably having to do with his break with the Clintons, Trump became their enemy of the state number one. Remember that Trump questioned the “suicide” of Clinton lawyer Vincent Foster after his body was dumped in a public park. That Trump comment was enough to convince the Deep State that Trump would dig up too many scandals. Since the Bidens and their family have federal protection, Bannon asked, why not Navy Joan and her mom? We know that Joe Biden, who calls Trump a man with no morals, has not met with his granddaughter. Neither has Jill Biden. Hence, Lunden Roberts and her daughter do not deserve to be protected. That is the sick and disgusting way Washington works. “I am fully loaded and armed at all times,” Lunden Roberts said. “We’re armed at the house.” She said they have a security system at the house. Every night, she said, she positions her guard dogs at various locations to detect intruders and then they “barricade ourselves in a room.” The door is locked and she has access to a rifle and a shotgun and a Glock in each night stand. She says she has other weapons hidden in the house. Bannon exhibited a nervous laugh when she recited the armaments she had to protect her family. I was greatly impressed by the courage of this woman to go public with these revelations. However, I put those self-defense weapons in the context of what federal agencies like the FBI and the ATF are known to use against certain dissenters and questionable characters in American society. Even Google can give you the facts about Ruby Ridge and Waco. This young woman came across as a one-woman army for the purpose of protecting her daughter against the Biden family and the Obama personnel directing his administration. I hope that if Trump gets another opportunity to debate Joe Biden, the matter of his grandchild is brought up. She said her lawyer has informed Hunter Biden of these threats to her family’s safety but “nothing has ever been done.” Her only explanation for the official indifference to this dire security situation is that the girl is not considered family, even though DNA proves her to be Hunter’s Biden’s child. Talk about Trump’s morals! What about the morals of Joe Biden in the face of this assault against his granddaughter? It’s too bad Bannon decided to go to prison rather than continue with interviews like this that shed light on the unprecedented political corruption in American society. The Lunden Roberts interview should seal Joe Biden’s political fate and her eyewitness testimony to political corruption at the highest levels of our government should be the subject of immediate congressional hearings. In the meantime, the Trump campaign should announce that it will pay for a private or personal protection detail for Navy Joan Roberts and her mother and family.
![]() The “Conspiracy” to Kill Trump By Cliff Kincaid Speaking on Fox News the day after the debate, Eric Trump made a comment that reverberates. He said about his father, “He’s getting shot at every single day.” He meant that his father is under verbal and legal attack. But the real threat is physical. Biden’s disastrous debate performance means the only way the Deep State can avoid another Trump presidency is if they take him out, Vincent Foster-style. The second thing that Eric Trump said that was ominous concerned the nature of the Deep State. He wondered who was running the government while Joe Biden was hiding in Camp David, the military compound in the Catoctin Mountains of Maryland. “Who’s running the government?” Eric Trump asked. There are two answers to that. One is that Biden’s Administration is staffed by Obama personnel. That’s a documented fact. The other is that federal intelligence agencies like the FBI and CIA do not want Trump to win and will work to make sure he never returns to the White House. In the wake of Biden’s debate performance, they are desperate. Andrew McCarthy’s “Conspiracy Theory” To understand the depth of their hatred for Trump, consider the perspective of former prosecutor Andrew McCarthy, a paid contributor on Fox News and a go-to guy for “conservatives” defending Trump. Even Trump cites his articles. But McCarthy can be wrong, and seriously wrong. His recent defense of the FBI raid on Trump’s home is a case study. He whitewashes the FBI’s dirty deeds. It was McCarthy who defended Special Counsel Robert Mueller, a former FBI director, as an honest professional. That began the Russia-gate hoax that tied up President Trump’s first term with Russian disinformation peddled by Hillary. Now, McCarthy is saying that the FBI’s Mar-a-Lago raid, in which agents were authorized to use force, was standard procedure. “All search warrants involve the possibility of forced entry,” he says. He adds, “…as a matter of common sense, the FBI always has an operational plan for carrying out a court-authorized search. That plan customarily involves reminding the search teams of the FBI’s use-of-force policies.” His article ran under a headline calling the claim about the FBI using “lethal force” at Mar-a-Lago “stupid” and he added, “The claim is political red meat for conspiracy theorists.” So anybody who questions the honesty and integrity of the FBI is a conspiracy theorist? On the contrary, the FBI invites “conspiracy theories” based on its track record. It is stupid not to assume the worst about the strategy and tactics of this federal agency, especially when it is targeting an enemy of the state like Trump at his own home. Mexican Drug Cartels Target Trump Our special report, “Marked for Death,” looks at Trump’s enemies, including the FBI, left-wing radicals, and the Iranian terrorist regime. Another threat to Trump comes from the Mexican drug cartels working with the government of Mexico and trafficking fentanyl with the assistance of the Chinese Communist Party that supplies the chemicals. Incredibly, during the recent Mexican elections, there were more than 30 assassinations of candidates arranged by the cartels, to make sure their drug and human smuggling operations into the United States continue without hindrance. The dominant leftist Morena Party must be considered an enemy of the United States. Trump, who has promised military attacks on the cartels, is their enemy. Who Planted the Pipe Bombs? Before we examine the other death threats against Trump and other Republicans, consider the placement of pipe bombs near the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Republican National Committee (RNC) on January 5, 2021. Rep. Thomas Massie notes that ATF Director Steve Dettelbach recently refused to answer Congress’s questions about the pipe bombs. “It’s been three years without answers from the Biden administration. What information is Dettelbach hiding?” asks Massie. Former FBI agent Kyle Seraphin says the FBI obstructed the investigation into the alleged perpetrator, leading some observers to conclude the FBI planted the bombs. It was designed to make the ‘insurrection,” in which unarmed Trump supporters were escorted into the Capitol, look dangerous. In this confrontation, military vet and Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt was murdered in cold blood. Investigative journalist Jack Cashill noted that the FBI raised the reward for finding the bomber but he “has vanished into the ether as seamlessly as did John Doe #2, Timothy McVeigh’s accomplice in the April 1995 destruction of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.” The D.C. bomber joins John Doe #2 as being among the “Others Unknown,” as McVeigh’s attorney noted in a book by that name. We still do not have the full truth about how the FBI and other federal agencies provoked the “insurrection” and planted the pipe bombs. In the 1992 Ruby Ridge incident, Randy Weaver’s wife was killed by an FBI sniper. Weaver was set-up by federal agents on a gun charge and the FBI and other federal agents surrounded his home, opening fire on his family. Andrew McCarthy and the Feds Andrew McCarthy, a former federal prosecutor, completely ignores the circumstances surrounding the raid on Trump’s home. For no legitimate reason, McCarthy is biased in favor of the feds, when federal agencies do not deserve such respect and admiration. When McCarthy says the FBI plan “customarily involves reminding the search teams of the FBI’s use-of-force policies,” he ignores the history of this agency, including recent history. In the case of Mark Houck, a pro-lifer, nearly twenty-five FBI agents raided his home on September 23, 2022, arresting him without explanation and taking him to the FBI Headquarters in Philadelphia. The agents had their guns drawn. One agent had a ballistic shield and long gun. Another agent had a battering ram. Houck was and is a peaceful citizen, a Catholic, a father. In the court case, which examined whether Houck’s participation in a pro-life protest that somehow was construed by the feds as harassment of abortion workers, Houck was found not guilty. He was defended by the Thomas Moore Society. The FBI defended the raid, saying their agents employed “standard practices” against Houck. It sounds a lot like the FBI’s defense of the raid on Trump’s home. Threatening a Peaceful Catholic Father Further, court documents in the Houck case reveal the following: “Mr. Houck observed that the agents were wielding firearms, battering rams, a crowbar, and were equipped with heavily armored vests, ballistic helmets, and shields. Marked and unmarked government vehicles surrounded his home and lined his driveway. “Mr. Houck also observed rifles, including AR-styled rifles and handguns aimed at him from his porch, his yard, and his driveway. Agents crouched behind their vehicles and aimed their guns at him as if they were arresting a dangerous criminal. “Two agents were in the rear of Mr. Houck’s home and scared Mr. Houck’s daughter, T.H., when she discovered agents dressed in black behind the home. T.H. observed that the agents were holding rifles and were looking into the Houcks’ home through the back door windows.” In the Houck case, Senators asked “…what factors led to the Justice Department and FBI executing an arrest warrant against him instead of using less aggressive tactics, including a summons to appear? Please explain how the execution of the search warrant complied with Attorney General Garland’s use of force memorandum.” There is no explanation, other than a pro-abortion and anti-Catholic bias that guides what the Biden Justice Department is doing. In both the Houck and Trump cases, the bias involves federal agencies that are heavily armed. That makes Trump a special target. Now that Biden is toast, the only avenue left for these agencies is to make Trump toast, too. That way, Biden and/or his replacement has a chance.
![]() The Senate Candidate for the Deep State By Cliff Kincaid He is the candidate who abandoned his Catholic faith to make himself a voice for murdering the unborn. No, he is not Joe Biden, although that characterization applies to the current occupant of the oval office. He is Larry Hogan of Maryland, one of the most cynical politicians running in 2024. A true RINO, Republican In Name Only, he is running as a Republican but will likely caucus with the Democrats if he wins his Senate race. He is not even “states’ rights” on abortion, which is Trump’s new position. Hogan is “pro-choice” and will vote to codify the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that allowed abortion on demand nationally but was overturned and sent the issue back to the states. Conservatives in the “Free State” of Maryland are not fooled by Hogan, although I listened recently to Frederick County (Maryland) Right to Life representatives endorse Hogan as the lesser of two evils in the Senate race against Angela Alsobrooks, the Democratic Party candidate. Evil is still evil, noted Fred Propheter, president of the Frederick County Conservative Club, the sponsor of the right-to-life event. If the unborn child is a human being, why permit some states to violate the right to life? Hogan wants abortion legalized on a national basis, ignoring what the states may do. So when you hear that the Republican Party is now “united” under Trump, don’t forget about Larry Hogan. Hogan Hates Trump Former President Donald Trump seemed to reluctantly endorse the former Maryland governor, saying, “Yeah I’d like to see him win.” It was hardly enthusiastic. The favor was not returned. Showing his disdain for the Republican candidate for president, Hogan’s team responded saying, “Governor Hogan has been clear he is not supporting President Trump, just as he didn’t in 2016 and 2020.” Hogan’s campaign is clearly designed to pick up Democrat votes in heavily Democratic Maryland but he is counting on a few Republicans to vote for him as well, despite his hatred of Trump. That remains to be seen. Republicans can decide not to vote for Hogan by putting principle above party. A new poll showing Hogan losing to the Democrat, Angela Alsobrooks, also demonstrates that many Republicans do not have high regard for the former governor. As reported by the Baltimore banner, a new poll “reported that 26% of Republicans view Hogan unfavorably. In a state where Democrats double the number of Republicans, party defectors make Hogan’s hill steeper. About 8% of Democrats view Alsobrooks unfavorably, a smaller proportion of a much larger voting bloc.” But Hogan is counting on Republicans voting for a RINO because of “influential” media personalities such as the ageing and decrepit Brit Hume of Fox News, who propose fooling the voters for raw political power. Way past his prime and fumbling and mumbling on the air like Biden, Hume is trying to keep himself relevant on the cable channel by bashing Lara Trump as “stupid” for having criticized the former Maryland governor. Hogan Versus Lara Trump Lara Trump is now Republican National Committee co-chair and understands that the Republican candidate for the Senate in Maryland is a RINO who made a stupid statement about respecting the kangaroo court verdict in the Donald J. Trump bookkeeping case. Hogan promises to vote like a Democrat but campaigns under the Republican label. He had said people should “respect” the anti-Trump verdict, when any honest observer could easily conclude it was a railroad. Hogan, now campaigning for Democratic votes, hates President Trump and what he represents. He refuses to take accounts of vote fraud in 2020 seriously. When he was governor, he was known as “Lockdown Larry” during COVID, closing churches and keeping pot shops open. His hold on the Republican Party has always been weak, and he is now openly advertising his sympathy with the Democratic Party, even while he retains the Republican label. He is a fraud, pure and simple. He is a Democrat masquerading in Republican clothes. This does not bother Brit Hume, who is playing out his final years in broadcasting by promoting the kind of liberal Republicanism that Trump rejected and which made the GOP synonymous with the elite term “Country Club.” Hogan won the Republican Senate nomination by campaigning as a Trump-stye candidate opposed to open borders. After winning the nomination, he has returned to form, sounding anti-Trump, disavowing Trump’s tepid endorsement, and declaring his faith in abortion, not the Catholic religion in which he was raised. If it had any credibility, the Catholic Church would excommunicate him. Hogan Runs From the Republican Party He says he will not go to the Republican National Convention but went to the state convention to collect the endorsement of the Maryland Republican Party. In short, he is a flip-flopping politician with no principles. If he were honest, he would openly declare himself a Democrat and stop the masquerade. Hume said Lara Trump’s position should be “Please, Mr. Hogan, Please Gov. Hogan, you do whatever you have to do to get elected, and some of the things you say and you believe in don’t agree with what I think, that’s OK, do what you have to do.” Hume said. “That’s how politics is played by smart people.” No, that’s why politics alienates smart voters who want a choice, not an echo. The advice, “Do whatever you have to do to get elected,” is cynicism. It is what Hogan is doing. It is his game plan. But why should the RNC endorse this cynical political strategy? Ordinary Republican contributors would revolt if they saw their money going into his campaign. Supporting Hogan is counter-productive. Hume’s answer is that a Hogan victory might help the GOP take the Senate. Hogan is Really a Democrat But there is nothing to stop Hogan from changing party affiliations once he is elected, from Republican to Democrat or Independent. Consider Senator Joe Manchin, a Democrat turned Independent. Or Bernie Sanders, a Democrat claiming to be an independent. America is at a crossroads, with a Democratic Party already in the Marxist camp and moving even further left, and a Republican Party that is growing more conservative under Trump. Hogan is a backslider, away from conservatism and toward the Democratic Party, even on a matter of life and death, like the right of the unborn. We now understand that Brit Hume thinks having the Republicans control the Senate is more important than having the Republican Party stand for something. Such comments undermine the credibility of Fox News as a “conservative” outlet. Lara Trump had said Hogan’s desire for “respect” of the flawed verdict in the bookkeeping case was a big negative. Hogan, she said, “doesn’t deserve the respect of anyone in the Republican Party at this point, and quite frankly anybody in America.” She could have gone further, noting the evidence that Hogan is appealing to Democrats, not Republicans, to win in Maryland. This not only means his “Republicanism” is questionable but that he lacks character. As such, he would be a Senator from the Deep State, Maryland, where one of the most prominent intelligence agencies, the NSA, is based. Maryland is also home to dozens of defense contractors feeding the Deep State and is scheduled to be the home of the new headquarters of the FBI. The media love Hogan, knowing he is a thorn (or knife) in the side of Trump. After his support for the kangaroo court verdict, Politico ran a story under the headline, “Lara Trump declines to say if RNC will support Larry Hogan after trial comments.” This is supposed to be controversial. Where is it written that because somebody says he is a Republican that he is automatically entitled to financial support from the RNC? The publication added that “Lara Trump and the RNC did not come to Hogan’s defense” after his comments. It was not strange on their part. What is strange is that Hogan is running as a Republican and declared his support for the verdict before it was even rendered. The process was already flawed, as Hogan could easily ascertain, since the judge was a partisan political operative and he ruled out witnesses for the defense, that is for Trump. None of this bothered Hogan. The only way for the party to respond is to reject him and let Hogan run as a Democrat. This is only common sense. Some argue that the Maryland Republican Party should withdraw its support for Hogan and those truly concerned about the right to life should form a group called “Pro-Lifers Against Hogan” to send a real pro-life message. That was my advice to Frederick Right to Life. My other piece of advice concerned a suggestion from a local pro-lifer that they should approach the Catholic Church for financial support, perhaps through the Knights of Colombus. It’s a good group that does Pro-life work but the church as a whole is terribly compromised by the sex scandals. The Archdiocese of Baltimore has declared bankruptcy to avoid paying out too much money to the victims. The real debate should be over what the Republican Party stands for, and whether the true alternative for voters is the Constitution Party, which has a solid conservative platform. Pro-life activist Randall Terry and Pastor Stephen Broden are on the ticket this year, hoping to get on dozens of state ballots. Trump’s so-called “state’s rights” approach, to let babies live or die based on what voters in the states decide, is another major problem for pro-lifers. Either babies have a right to live or they don’t. Third Party Options One can argue that a vote for Terry/Broden is wasted. But voting for Hogan is a wasted vote, too, and yet the “experts” like Brit Hume say winning at any cost for the GOP is the goal of political life in America. That’s only for those willing to sell their souls. It is unfortunate and sad that an “analyst” like Brit Hume has taken the tired road of flacking for the Republican Party no matter what it does and what candidates are claiming to be carrying its banner. A real analyst should try to be objective, ripping the mask off phonies and frauds. Instead, Hume’s mask has already been ripped off, demonstrating his own stupidity and Hogan-like lack of character. He should retire. And so should Hogan.
![]() Democrats Run “Gay Pride” Events By Cliff Kincaid Rainbow flags were everywhere on June 22 when thousands of Democrats rallied in support of “gay pride,” abortion, condoms, transgenderism, and marijuana at the annual “Frederick Pride” festival in Frederick County, Maryland. So-called “pride” events like this one are barely disguised Democratic Party get-out-the-vote efforts to get Joe Biden back in the White House. My report complete with photographs documents that, for those at “Frederick Pride,” the day’s events included performances by “drag artists,” with young children in attendance, and a pro-gay speech by Maryland’s “progressive” governor, Wes Moore, wearing a “TRANS MARYLAND” sticker on his shirt and blessing a queer youth with a big hug. Moore, advertised as the “next Obama” and a future Democratic Party candidate for president, served on the board of a marijuana company before he was elected. Young people with gender dysphoria need understanding and help in many cases. It can be a terrible phase of a young person’s life. But showcasing the syndrome at a “gay pride” event with “drag artists” or “performers” present is not proper therapy. It only makes things worse. Nevertheless, attendees were encouraged to vote for local board of education candidates who support “trans and gender nonconforming students.” In truth, of course, the “pride” event raises serious theological questions, in addition to the political uses the Democrats make of these people. The hundreds of “rainbows” on display at this event were not symbolic of the rainbow that traditional Christianity regards as the covenant between God and man (Genesis 9:17) and His promise to save humanity from evil and wickedness. The “pride” behind the “gay pride” event reflects a different kind of rainbow, in which political elites devise a rebellion against God’s plan for men and women and instead substitute a man-made concoction of artificial gender distinctions based upon political and ideological choices, not biological facts and DNA. It is a form of Cultural Marxism, designed to further undermine the Christian traditions of the United States. In fact, we are witnessing the destruction of the traditional family, a unit of stability that guarantees the survival of the United States and is based on a man, woman, and children. As such, the “gay pride” event was linked to abortion, which was a big emphasis of the Frederick County event, as boxes labeled “abortion pills” and condoms were available for free to anyone requesting them. One of the strangest pro-abortion buttons on display was titled, “Funding Our Futures,” which is bizarre considering human beings are destroyed in the womb. But such absurdity was the nature of this event. For male homosexuals, an HIV testing site was available, an indication that anal sex is still a major health hazard, as the CDC documents. Simply put, it is not the way to have sex and create children for a healthy society. Instead, it is a sure path to sexually transmitted diseases and an early death. The group “TRANS Maryland” was selling buttons that proclaimed “Any pronouns” would do as well as “he/him,” among others. This is the current trend, designed to further confuse gender roles and make new “victims” of the old Christian tradition. The group even offers letters for “gender affirming surgery,” now said to be available from 10 providers in Maryland. Such “surgery” involves mutilating children to make them into something they are not. The sad nature of the event, reflecting confusion about sexual roles, was upstaged by what the local rag, the Frederick News-Post, which was an official sponsor, called the performances of “drag artists” or men dressed up as women. The paper reported one of these disgusting dance routines as follows: “As the drag queen danced her way around the amphitheater, the sun reflected off of her sequined headdress and sparking tights as hundreds of people in the crowd flapped multicolored fans and flags in time with the thumping music.” The “drag artists” were men dressed up as women, wearing wigs and lip stick, gathering dollar bills from the ecstatic crowd as they finished their dance routines. It was truly sad. Yet, children were exposed to it. As a long-time journalist who covers these events first-hand, with photographs, this event was a real shocker, as my report reproduces photos demonstrating the shocking distribution of free condoms, abortion pills, and directions to the local marijuana “dispensary.” Stickers even proclaimed “Shout Your Abortion.” Those who say Joe Biden can’t attract a crowd are missing the point. These “gay pride” events are comprised of voters for the Democratic Party. You can see in the list of sponsors and vendors that they are run by the Democratic Party and designed to get members of the queer community out to vote a “straight” Democratic ticket. This is how Democrats get their votes in early and often, overwhelming Republicans at the polls on election day. As I was taking pictures, several people running exhibits asked me to register to vote, so I can vote for Democrats in November and abortion on the ballot. It was designed this way. The list of official sponsors/vendors included the Democratic Central Committee of Frederick, Frederick County Progressives, Frederick Democratic Socialists, Frederick County Teachers Association, and Planned Parenthood of Maryland. Marijuana businesses included Curaleaf, gLeaf, and Grow West. In this case, as I document in my report complete with photographs, thousands of people showed up, in sweltering 95-degree heat. These are committed people who believe their future lies with the Democratic Party. Local Democrats, including Democrat Rep. David Trone’s office, were giving away policy papers from the Biden Administration on how queer organizations can claim their fair share of largesse from the federal government, in the name of “equity.” But literally dozens of other organizations, including some progressive “Christian” churches, were there, too, giving their blessings to conduct that is clearly outlawed in the Bible of Bible-believing Christians. In Frederick County, just outside of Washington, D.C., the County Executive is a Democrat, Jessica Fitzwater, who recently announced a new Frederick County requirement that all employees take diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) training. She made the announcement wearing a dress with the rainbow colors.
![]() Errors of Russia: the “Third Rome” and the Mark of the Beast How Russia can be securely identified as just another among so many threats, not to the USA, but to the Catholic Church 11/06/2024 (Reprinted with permission from the National Studies Institute). By Cristian Derosa For Catholics, the message of Our Lady in 1917, at Fatima, should at least provoke some perplexity, or deep hesitation and prudence, regarding the eventual support for a regime that killed at least 100 million people, persecuted Christians, and spread the atheistic ideology of communism across the four corners of the planet. However, if there are still doubts about the demonic nature of Putin’s regime, some reflections may be necessary. For those who observe purely geopolitically, it may seem that the objective of present-day Russia is merely to destroy the United States, the archenemy since the Cold War. If this is true, in a sense, it is also true that the USA would be just the appetizer for the grand feast Russia prepares. As soon as it feeds on Western souls through its expansion, the occultist czarist regime will inevitably advance against the Catholic Church, the only obstacle still standing (albeit faltering) to global control by all agendas. After promising the liberation of the world’s workers through Marxism, which resulted in enslavement and genocide, Russia now promises another liberation: that from Western globalism. A large number of conservatives have come to see themselves represented by this kind of conservative and traditional resistance against the materialism of the “culture of death” advancing upon nations. However, there are more reasons to see Russia as the true government of the Antichrist, despite its accusations against the West of being the “civilization of the Antichrist”. In the view of Orthodox Christianity, after the schism between East and West, Rome lost the role of the center of Christianity, transferred to Constantinople. But with the fall of Constantinople into the hands of the Turks in 1453, this power would have passed to Moscow, the “Third Rome”. Western conservatives have “bought” this version of history, based on the ideological and geopolitical component that presents the invasion of Ukraine as a symbol of a conflict of continents, Russia and its allies against NATO expansionism. This narrative, which benefits by transforming Russia from aggressor to victim, strengthens all other justifying sub-narratives. In an article for the Providence website, Matija Statham, a Croatian columnist on politics and religion, summarizes how these ideas have penetrated the Russian Orthodox imagination and reflect profoundly in the Kremlin’s current policy. But the spiritual foundation for the war in Ukraine, as well as for other Russian actions worldwide, may be even darker. One of the key concepts for understanding the spiritual justification for the entire programmatic arrangement of current Russian ideology is Katechon, a biblical term that developed into a notion of political philosophy. Originally found in 2 Thessalonians 2:6–7, it deals with an eschatological reality according to which Christians should be prepared for the Day of the Lord. If the Antichrist is to be revealed before the Second Coming, special attention becomes necessary, not only to identify him but also to what restrains him. Before the revelation of the Antichrist, says St. Paul, there will be the removal of “something or someone that restrains him”, that is, prevents him from fully manifesting. Verse 6 uses the neuter gender, τὸ κατέχον; and verse 7, the masculine, ὁ κατέχων. This means that the Katechon is the force that will resist the Antichrist. “(…) the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. But the one who restrains must do so only for the present, until he is removed from the scene. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.” (2 Thessalonians 7-8) In antiquity, some linked the Katechon to the Roman Empire and others to the Roman Church. There was much discussion on the subject among Christian scholars, but in the West, it lost strength. According to Statham, the interest in Katechon and its speculations found a home in the Russian clergy and intelligentsia of the 19th century and in the interwar period, in the so-called “conservative revolution”, a movement that had a strong influence on the recovery of ancestral traditions by Nazism, but also revealed names like Thomas Mann, Hugo Hoffmanstall, among others. The two strands in which Katechon was relevant are those that survive today almost exclusively in the ideas of Aleksandr Dugin, the Russian clergy, and the Kremlin’s justifications. The term Katechon gained strength precisely in Nazism, through thinkers like Carl Schmitt, who in his work Nomos of the Earth, suggested the traditional historical importance of the idea of this force of the “catechontic restrainer” that allows for a Christianity centered in Rome and that “meant historical power to restrict the appearance of the Antichrist”. For Schmitt, the Katechon represents the dream of building the ancient State of the Roman Empire, with all its police and military powers to impose orthodox ethics. In his diary, posthumously published, the German thinker clearly says: “I believe in the Katechon: it is, for me, the only possible way to understand Christian history and to consider it significant (…). The Katechon needs to be named for each epoch of the last 1948 years. The place has never been vacant; otherwise, we would no longer be present.” Schmitt is one of the favorite and most cited thinkers by Dugin and his followers. It happens that, from the secular Marxist point of view, the Katechon also has its importance and value as a social utopia. Marxists like Paolo Virno, in his book Multitude: Between Innovation and Denial. For Virno, who discusses the term in light of Schmitt’s thought, Katechon is a concept of human integration, being that which prevents the mythical “war of all against all”, of Hobbes, as well as Western globalist totalitarianism. It is, for him, a force that although prevents and contains, does not eliminate any of these historical forces, only delaying their advance. More or less in line with Habermas’s concepts of informative action, Virno proposes the concept of katechon as “the human capacity to use language, which allows for the conception of the negation of something, and also allows for the conceptualization of something that can be different from what it is”. In this sense, all the spiritual or traditional proposals suggested by Russia have their secular version, wisely exploited by allied movements of the Russian bloc in their dystopias. It would not be an exaggeration to suppose that the Russian synthesis of Eurasianism intends, or can generate, an evolution of globalism into broader terms and directly pointed towards Russian imperialism. In 1990, Dugin published a book entitled Metaphysics of the Gospel: Orthodox Esotericism. In it, the Russian relates the Katechon concept to the historical role and mission of Russia in history, referring to it as the “Third Rome” and linking it to the traditional concept of “harmony” between Church and State, that is, in a new imperial religion. More recently, as the invasion of Ukraine began, Dugin wrote on his Facebook: “We are now in a war of spirits. Katechon vs. Antekeimenos [Beast of the Apocalypse]”. Like Dugin, Patriarch Kirill, a former KGB agent and Putin’s colleague, also frequently cites the term or its variations to justify a eschatological role of Russia. Kirill said about the incursion into Ukraine that the war “has no physical meaning, but rather metaphysical”. Despite claims that Dugin’s direct influence over Putin is indeed limited, the same cannot be said of the patriarch. Statham also recalls that Kirill said, in April 2022, that “Holy Scriptures mention a certain force that prevents the coming of the Antichrist into the world”. In this sense, it matters little how much Putin actually believes in these mystical narratives. What counts is that his actions perfectly agree as if he did believe. Many naive Western conservatives have fallen for Putin’s image of Russia as a defender of what he himself calls “traditional values”. When they look at politics, media, culture, and dominant corporations of the modern West, they also see “total Satanism”. But while, at least declaratively, recognizing the problems that exist in the West, Putin is far from being the solution. Putin’s “traditional values” are not Christian traditional values, but rather values from some other tradition. Or, let’s take it a step further: if a kind of “culture of death” dominates in the West, Putin’s Russia only offers another kind of “culture of death”. What Western conservatives often forget is that Russian dominant politics is, in essence, as anti-Christian as Western politics, but in a different way. Their moralistic view, according to which the community they belong to has the right to dominate others, by any means, including the mass murder of innocents, does not reflect true Christianity but implies a kind of paganism different from current Western post-Christianity. And that’s why, instead of the Second Epistle to the Thessalonians, I believe the biblical quote that best describes the current situation is: “How can Satan drive out Satan?” (Mark 3:23) In the light of the prophecies of Fatima, Russia is already preparing a set of forgeries, trying to reverse the idea of the “errors of Russia” into the “errors of the West”. In 2017, the Katehon website, by Dugin, announced the next “fall of the Roman Catholic Church” and the installation of the Russian Orthodox Church, or the Patriarchate of Moscow as the seat of universal Christianity. The recurrence of allegations against the Catholic Church, under terms like pedophilia, homosexuality, initiated by the great globalist and anti-Christian media, now advances through the hands of prominent conservatives as a way to push out the large mass of Catholics to be co-opted by Russian orthodoxy. Luis Dufaur interprets this as “the great imposture” and a great trick against Catholics. “The propaganda trick distorts the prophecies of Fatima and La Salette, and confuses the Catholic Church with the homosexual-theological network that has infiltrated it since at least the Second Vatican Council. Thus, Moscow aims to deceive the Catholics disgusted with the nauseating ecclesiastical crisis in progress and tries to attract them to the area of influence of the Patriarchate of Moscow. Katehon’s propaganda claims to be ecumenical and pan-Christian. But it requires that Catholics renounce converting the Russian schismatics who tend, as in Ukraine, to abandon the errors and disorders of the Patriarchate of Moscow and adhere to Eastern Catholic rites”. Through an onslaught on conservative movements around the world, which counts on oligarchs’ money and the purchase of intellectuals and influencers, the Kremlin intends, among other things, to retell history, starting with the forgery of the messages of Fatima. One of the main initiatives in this regard has been promoted by renowned traditionalists, linked to initiatic Islamic organizations, such as Charles Upton and his wife, Jennifer Doane Upton, who circulated with great popularity a three-part article entitled “Dante’s Prophecy on the Fall of the Roman Catholic Church”. With the questionable authority of a former Roman Catholic converted to Islamic Sufism, Charles Upton presents his wife’s text clarifying that she preferred the Eastern Fathers’ point of view to that of St. Augustine or St. Thomas Aquinas. He also clarifies that she used especially traditionalist names like René Guénon and Frithjof Schuon. Not surprisingly, the series of articles argues that Moscow is the “Third Rome” and the Russian Orthodox Church should save the Western Church corrupted by Vatican II, by modernism and liberalism, not failing to resort to the prophecies of La Salette and Fatima to explain that “Rome will lose the faith”. They conclude, then, that the Orthodox religion is the true Christian religion and that one should be very careful in approaching the “apostate Rome”. Upton, a Guénonian traditionalist, says he believes that “when the great schism between the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church occurred in 1054, the Western Church lost many of those who until then were the universal Christian tradition”. Obviously, from the gnostic point of view of the Primordial Tradition, this seems dramatic for Gnosticism. But after reading Dante with Guénon’s eyes, Upton could only come to this conclusion. He began to gain fame in conservative circles mainly after prefacing Lee Penn’s book False Dawn, which denounces the demonic syncretisms of the New Age movement, but emphasizes only its Western facet, linked to the United Religions Initiative, without mentioning Guénon’s influence in spreading the Orientalist ideas that culminated in the syncretistic spiritualist movement of the West, against which he now presents himself as a providential antidote. Curiously, however, the main arguments used to point out the apostasy of Rome by the Vatican are some novelties that relativize the Eucharistic meaning and the sacraments, such as communion for people in second marriages, among others, which brings closer or, at least, opens discussions on a topic that still divides the Western and Eastern Church. Even the prelate Carlo Maria Viganò, a conservative and a fierce critic of Pope Francis and the innovations brought by the progressive clergy, lectured alongside the Russian ideologue at an event clearly in defense of Putin’s policies, which was understood by many as a veiled support or, at least, an attestation of ignorance about who was by his side. Innocent or not, participation in the event earned the prelate the nickname “Dugin for Catholics”, by a Polish magazine. * Cristian Derosa Journalist, master in Fundaments of Journalism (UFSC), writer, author of The Russia’s Black Sun: the occult roots of eurasianism, and of 5 books on social communication and journalism.
