The GOP’s Hunter Biden Problem
By Cliff Kincaid After the communist revolution, Russia became known as the drunken society, as a result of the alcoholism that followed the destruction of traditional morality. Russia is known for its vodka distilleries. Russia’s only other significant export is gas, a natural resource. In America, imported and home-grown dope have replaced alcohol as the drug of choice, designed to hook a new generation on a mind-altering substance that will reduce their brains to the level of Hunter Biden. Hunter Biden was doing drugs and getting a woman pregnant while the “baby mama,” a former stripper, raised the fatherless child and filed suit for child support. Hunter’s drug- and alcohol-fueled lifestyle meant that he was more than a family black sheep. He was a clear impediment to the campaign to put Joe in office as president. That’s why Big Media and Big Tech covered-up the significance of the lap top. There is still time, however, to prevent further damage to society as a whole. To cite one example, a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland from a national coalition urges him to support enforcement of federal marijuana laws. It wants mandatory reporting of the drugs involved, including marijuana, when there are acts of gun violence, mass shootings, knifings and other acts of irrational violence. At the very least, enforcement of current federal marijuana laws will save the minds of some young people and reduce the number of homeless drug addicts with mental problems running rampant in the streets of major cities and contributing to the rising crime rate. Marijuana is now being laced with fentanyl, made by Mexican cartels with chemicals from China, to increase the carnage. What’s at stake is whether the Republicans will join the Democrats in cultivating potheads and other drug abusers as a voting bloc. A major GOP power broker and financier, homosexual activist Peter Thiel, has been investing huge sums in the marijuana and psychedelic research industries and is backing Republican Senate candidates in Arizona (Blake Masters) and Ohio (J.D. Vance). The Democratic Party is pushing marijuana legalization on a national basis, with Republicans such as Florida’s Rep. Matt Gaetz, a prominent Trump supporter, actively embracing the effort. Gaetz claims marijuana has healing properties in many chronic ailments. Tell that to the victims of Nikolas Cruz. The Parkland Florida mass shooter, Nikolas Cruz pleaded guilty to murdering 17 people in 2018 and in doing so blamed marijuana for the nation’s problems. He said, in part: “I hate drugs and I believe this country would do better if everyone would stop smoking marijuana and doing all these drugs and causing racism and violence out in the streets.” He’s had a chance to clean out his system of mind-altering chemicals and is now thinking straight. Cruz had told police about extensive drug use and “demons” in his mind. In addition to marijuana, so-called progressives have been demanding easy access to “psychedelic medicine,” including LSD and Ecstasy. Working with the George Soros-funded marijuana movement, in fact, they have achieved enormous “progress” in the various states, especially Oregon, which in 2020 decriminalized cocaine, meth, and LSD by passing a measured backed by money from billionaires George Soros and Mark Zuckerberg. At an America’s Survival conference in 2017, Dr. Tina Trent explained how the movement to legalize drugs now wants to make "mind-expanding" drugs more available, even mandatory, in order to erase traditional Christianity and transform consciousness through "New Age" practices. Mind-altering drugs have become their “Soma” for our Brave New World. While these factors and dangerous influences affect our ability as a nation to survive, it doesn’t mean that those of us who are sober should give up the fight. Our society is still superior to the drunken society that has failed to come to grips with communism’s imprint on Russia and which is now waging an unprovoked war on Ukraine. In terms of the Hunter Biden problem, an example of the decline of the West in personal and political terms, the laptop scandal provides an opportunity to understand how decadent the country has become and why a moral reckoning is so necessary at this critical time in history. We have to hope the criminal justice system holds him accountable, in the same way Arkansas judge Holly Meyer ordered Hunter Biden’s cooperation in the case brought by Lunden Alexis Roberts, the former stripper with whom he has a child. CNBC reports that Clint Lancaster, the attorney representing Roberts, said he previously handed over “a significant amount of Hunter’s financial records” to federal investigators under subpoena and that “he and Roberts were interviewed by an assistant U.S. attorney, an FBI agent and an IRS agent more than a year ago about Biden’s son.” But the Republicans’ have their own scandals. Consider the extramarital affair involving the former Missouri governor, Republican Eric Greitens, now running for the Senate and seeking Trump’s endorsement. Greitens, a regular guest on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” program, has now been accused of physically abusing his ex-wife and their children at the end of their marriage. Bannon backs him enthusiastically. In John le Carre’s Cold War spy thriller, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, the Russian mole in the British intelligence service says to the spy hunter who caught him, “I had to pick a side, George. It was an aesthetic choice as much as a moral one. The West has grown so very ugly, don’t you think?” Watching scandals involving Hunter Biden and Eric Greitens reminds us of the ugly side. Still, the West is worth saving. But it can only be saved if people like the Bidens and their backers in the intelligence community are held accountable and disgraced scandal-ridden Republicans like Greitens and their backers are ostracized and ejected from public life. *Cliff Kincaid is president of America’s Survival, Inc. www.usasurvival.org
