Dear Friend of America's Survival:
If socialism means more and bigger government, we are there. By raising the debt ceiling and raising spending, President Trump and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi lit the fuse on the debt bomb.
President Trump can berate the "Squad" over their anti-American and socialist policies, but he just bowed to Pelosi in the budget deal. President Trump talks a good game against socialism but endorses socialism through more spending and debt.
Here's how "conservative" Rush Limbaugh defended the deal on his show today: "I've concluded that this spending issue — well, I don’t have time to get into it fully here, but I’ve been hearing my whole life how it’s gonna wreck us and how it’s gonna destroy us, the national debt, the deficit’s gonna ruin us, and so far none of that’s happened. At some point it’s got to, but it hasn’t happened when the experts have told us it’s going to. Anyway, do you want to see more ads of Trump pushing Granny over the cliff? Well, I mean, you know what the Democrats would do with this."
So just keep spending in order to save Trump from some Democratic Party attack ads, and the debt bomb hasn't exploded yet so don't worry about it. This is Limbaugh's justification for the Republicans making deals with socialists and going socialist themselves. Of course, this Palm Beach resident can afford to pay the higher tax rates that inevitably result.
Limbaugh could have used his influence to defeat this deal. Instead, he apparently wants to go golfing with Trump again.
Remember that Limbaugh is a Reaganite who never voted for Reagan.
House Republican Study Committee Chairman Rep. Mike Johnson had encouraged President Trump “to hold the line in the budget negotiations," adding, “With a federal debt of more than $22 trillion and counting, we must stay strong.” But Trump folded.
Chris Temple, Editor/Publisher of The National Investor, features a new MAGA hat in his latest newsletter that carries the slogan, "Make Debt Great Again." A cartoon shows the Capitol dome on top of a house of cards. It will collapse on you and your kids. The rich will survive the crash.
This means that when the debt bomb explodes, young people will be left to pick up the pieces, becoming slaves of the state through higher and higher taxes to pay for this government's irresponsible spending policies.
Yet President Trump today told the conservative youth group Turning Point USA's Teen Student Action Summit that "We don't worship government, we worship God." But when you spend money you dn't have and go ito debt, you are putting government first.
Charlie Kirk's Turning Point Action just acquired Students for Trump "with a mission of identifying and enlisting ONE MILLION student supporters of President Trump." Charlie should be demanding that Trump stop the socialist tax-and-spending policies that are bankrupting the nation.
The difference is that Republicans cut taxes and spend more on the military than the "socialist" Democrats. Together, their policies result in more debt.
Here are the facts, as reported by two different sources:
Fox News said, "The deal also comes as budget deficits have been rising to $1 trillion levels — requiring the government to borrow a quarter for every dollar the government spends — despite the thriving economy and three rounds of annual Trump budget proposals promising to crack down on the domestic programs that Pelosi has been defending."
The New York Times reported, “White House and congressional negotiators reached accord on a two-year budget on Monday that would raise spending by $320 billion over existing caps and allow the government to keep borrowing, most likely averting a fiscal crisis but splashing still more red ink on an already surging deficit.”
“We will never be a Socialist or Communist Country,” Trump proclaims. “IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY HERE, YOU CAN LEAVE!”
So where do we go if America becomes a "----hole" country?
Socialism is promoted through higher taxes, more spending and government debt. Brian Riedel of the Manhattan Institute says, "The tea party burst into Washington pledging spending restraint, balanced budgets, and accountable government. Even the possibility of defaulting on the national debt was an acceptable price of reform. Roughly a decade later, budget deficits are again reaching $1 trillion, spending is soaring, Obamacare remains on the books, and Republicans are raising the debt limit and eviscerating their lead accomplishment, the Budget Control Act.With Republicans like these, who needs Democrats?"
CNN is right this time. It proclaimed the Tea Party is dead.
Maya MacGuineas, president of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, declared that this deal "may end up being the worst budget agreement in our nation’s history, proposed at a time when our fiscal conditions are already precarious."
Reuters reports that International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde says the global economy is “unsettled” after two years of steady growth and vulnerable to trade, Brexit and financial market shocks. She is becoming the president of the European Central Bank. She attended the third wedding of billionaire hedge fund operator George Soros in 2013.
Soros knows how to destabilize an economy. But Republicans and Democrats are doing a pretty good job themselves.
Conservatives supporting this deal are not true conservatives. They think they are doing Trump a favor, but they are risking Trump's re-election -- and the future of America.
